I hired them to do hair and makeup for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and five bridesmaids. Our artists for the wedding day were Jamie A (head stylist), Christine O, and Danielle S.
Primped was responsive to all communications, sent quotes for services in a timely manner, and kept me informed about any changes. They were also proactive about asking follow-up questions whenever something needed clarification.
I did a bridal hair and makeup trial with Jamie A several weeks before my wedding. She asked me to send inspiration photos for my wedding look, and despite the influx of AI-generated content on Pinterest these days, we were able to capture the essence of what I wanted. It was nice to meet her in person before the wedding, and I appreciated the opportunity to give feedback on my look and share how it held up throughout the day. She took detailed notes on what to adjust for the wedding day. I was initially apprehensive about doing a hair and makeup trial, but I’m so glad I did—if you can afford it, I highly recommend it.
On the day of the wedding, the entire team arrived at the Van Dusen Mansion 15 minutes early to set up and spent four hours with us. Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, and the artists provided minor touch-ups toward the end of their time to ensure we were photo-ready. I loved everyone’s final look.
I was especially concerned about my elderly mother-in-law, who has short hair and a very particular way she prefers it styled, including a blowout. Jamie was incredibly accommodating and executed it perfectly. This meant a lot to me because I wanted her to be fully included in the getting-ready process. She looked stunning.
