Elizabeth Birch worked with us to helped us achieve the perfect wedding of our dreams. From the beautifully landscaped ceremony, photo, and reception spaces, to the outstanding food and service, there was no detail overlooked. Elizabeth helped us coordinate the entire wedding long-distance. I was in Florida, and the bride was in Chicago. But with her guidance, we were able to coordinate the local vendors needed to pull off a dream wedding.

Words truly can’t express how incredibly grateful we are to have hosted our wedding at Of the Land! From start to finish, our experience was absolutely phenomenal. The team went above and beyond to bring our fairytale vision to life, and we’re forever thankful for the care and dedication they poured into making our day a real dream come true! The staff was nothing short of immaculate—warm, professional, and so attentive. The entire property radiates love, and the atmosphere is simply magical. Everywhere you turn, you’re surrounded by breathtaking scenery—from lush greenery to picture-perfect open skies. The sunset on the property was especially unforgettable and made for the most beautiful golden hour moments! We stayed in the farm flat Airbnb on-site, which made everything feel so convenient and comfortable. While there were a few buggies that made their way inside, everything else was flawless and incredibly comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such a special moment in our lives. One of the most heartwarming parts of our day was a visit from the venue’s sweet adopted kitty, May. She made a special appearance that absolutely melted our hearts—we completely fell in love with her! It’s little moments like that which made our wedding feel so personal and memorable. Of the Land is a venue that truly shines from the inside out. We’ll cherish these memories forever! Thank you so much!!

This was the perfect venue for us. Do you want an old-world feel and classic feeling for your wedding? This is perfect. Do you want all the amenities, modern accommodations for your wedding? This isn’t it. We wanted to feel like we were in another world for our wedding. This served as the perfect place. My husband and I stayed in the Ivy suite and his groomsmen in the Essex. This was perfect as he went to the Essex room to get ready with the groomsmen and the Ivy was perfect for the bridal party as there were multiple rooms for hair and makeup to set up. Most of the wedding party and family rented out the rooms - so we got to see those, and all were unique and beautiful in their own ways. I recommend reserving the room Bath for a bridesmaid or whomever will be steaming dresses. The pergola and Medovue Hall both were beautiful for the ceremony and reception respectively. We didn’t do a lot of decorations because I felt the beauty of the hall spoke for itself. We had the Duck for dinner - and it was perfect. Everyone raved about it. The bartenders and waitstaff were so nice and personable. Adriana was great to organize and work with. All in all, we loved our venue and highly recommend it.

Cold Springs Resort
Hamilton, IN
  • Up to 350 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Hamilton Lake's Cold Springs evolved from a 1870 farm purchase by Simpson Watkins. By 1885, Watkins Grove hosted picnics, leading to a hotel (1898), dance hall, and early 1900s recreation. Cold Springs Cottage Park, platted in 1896, grew significantly, with a unique leasing system. Sundays featured bands and speakers. Visitors arrived by train. A larger hotel opened in 1914, and the dance hall became a central draw with live music. A beach area developed later. The hotel prospered through the 20th century, adding a bar and modernizing. An 18-hole golf course was built. Dancing remained popular with big bands, later transitioning to rock. Today, Cold Springs offers a hotel, dining, bar, beach, golf, cottages, and retro dances, still family-run after five generations.
