“I found Jessica & her team on Zola early in the year before my wedding. I had zero experience with getting hair & make-up professionally done, but knew I didn't want to feel totally different from myself on my wedding day.
I was very impressed with the her portfolio - the bridal styles ranging from old hollywood glam to more natural brides, and even some very cool more historical hair & make-up. I quickly emailed her & explained my vision. She was very receptive & helpgul & before I knew it, I was booked.
I had an incredible trial with her and Toni, who does the hairstyling. They created such a welcoming environment, it felt like we had all been friends for years. They both really listen & take what you want into account and do their best to bring it to life. They are also very open to hearing anything you don't like & changing it up. I even ended up changing my mind on details of the hair & make-up from the trial & they were both very open & accommodating.
Before the wedding, I also received a detailed schedule & instructions to share with my mom, MIL, and bridesmaids. They were also very flexible when I needed to swap in a different bridesmaid.
The day of the wedding came & Jessica, Toni, and Abby were all incredible. They were on time & even got ahead of schedule. Again, they all created such a welcoming environment, it felt like hanging out with old friends. Additionally, every single bridesmaid, and both moms left the chair feeling absolutely beautiful with exactly what they wanted. Each one kept remarking on how kind the team was & how they really listened to what they wanted with their hair & make-up. Each one also looked just as beautiful at the end of the night.
As for myself - I felt stunning. All of the changes from the trial that we discussed were made even better than I could have hoped. My hair & make-up lasted the entire night - a particular achievement for my hair, which is past my waist, and was STILL CURLED when I got back to the hotel, almost 12 hours later. My headpiece also did not move a single inch, and despite the pins keeping it in, my scalp was not sore at all. The lashes were still lashing, all glitter in place, and no smudging despite the many happy tears that were shed.
