We loved being able to host our ceremony outdoors on the terrace - it was the perfect backdrop for our fall wedding. The reception space felt so warm and inviting for our 90 guests, with an authentic Chicago loft feel that was exactly what we were going for. “10/10!!! If we could get married 10 times over again, we would be at Walden 10 times more. Walden was the most perfect wedding venue from start to finish. The main thing that we were looking for in a venue was an all inclusive vibe that would allow for as little planning and stress as possible, as neither of us were really into the whole wedding planning thing. Walden was just that. The wedding planners that you work with from the beginning, make it so easy to stay on track. the app that they use was super helpful to make sure that everything was organized and things are done according to the best timeline. We never once felt stressed out about the whole wedding planning process and that really says a lot about Walden and how great they are. Big shout out to Krystle and Alyssa for making the process so seamless and making sure we were supported. The other important piece of criteria that we wanted was on site catering so that our guests would have the best experience from a food perspective. The food was phenomenal! Our guests raved about how great it was, saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The bar was the best wedding bar I’ve ever seen. The drink selection was on point, with amazing cocktails and the bar staff was incredible. A huge shout out to bartender Amy, who made sure that both of us had drinks in our hand the entire night! Walden is so thoughtful in their entire approach from making sure you are taken care of months before the wedding, to the day of the wedding, giving you space to have a cocktail, appetizer, and a breather before the party starts! We are obsessed with this venue and we really hope that one day we get invited back to someone else’s wedding there so we can relive the wonderful experience that we had!”

“Hangout Lighting was a fantastic choice for our wedding reception venue. Jen's communication throughout the planning process was extremely prompt and helpful. I was looking for a space that was already partially decorated and set up, one that had some indoor and outdoor space, as well as one that allowed us to bring in any vendors of our choosing. Hangout Lighting delivered on all these points. We loved the lighting (of course!) and that the beautiful farmhouse tables and chairs were already perfectly in place. Jen offered a lot of flexibility in the timing of the day as well, so we could choose the number of hours that fit our event. I wish we could have celebrated past the 10pm last call and, looking back, might have started our event earlier in the evening to have more time. But all of the rules and guidance were extremely well communicated ahead of time, so we knew what we were getting into. The free street parking was plentiful, and the location worked great for us. Very glad we were able to celebrate our wedding at Hangout Lighting during the first year that they were hosting events in the space, as I think we got a great deal as well, having compared prices with some similar places in the area. “I couldn't be happier with our decision to book The Carter as our wedding venue! The staff made the night go flawlessly. My wedding coordinator even commented how impressed she was with how quick their staff was able to move throughout setup during the day. She also complimented the catering coordinator as being a complete pro. With The Carter you are required to use their caterer, D'Absolute, but that was not a problem for us because the food was phenomenal. Wedding food can be hit or miss, but we had multiple guests raving about everything from the apps to the late night snacks. Chris allowed us to include 2 signature drinks and customized our bar menu to whatever we wanted. Since I got married on my birthday Chris even upgraded our glassware free of charge which was such a sweet, unexpected gesture! They are very flexible with how you want to use the space, which I loved because we were able to make the event truly unique. What sold me on the space is that you don't need to add much additional decor because it's so beautiful on its own. The connecting courtyard comes with string lights. The interior space includes multiple chandeliers and string lights over the dance floor. Most other places you'd need to bring those details in, and pay for them. What I also love about the space is you get the "lofty, urban" feel without all of the pillars/poles in a typical loft space. You get high ceilings and an open floor plan, which makes the space look so much nicer (in my opinion). The cost is a little pricier than other venues we explored, however I 100% think we paid for higher quality and I have zero regrets.”
