We are absolutely thrilled with the exceptional service provided by Alli – Alexandra Wallace for our engagement and wedding photos. From the initial consultation to the final delivery (within 30 days of the date!) of the photos, every step of the process was handled smooth, organized and her creativity is amazing! On the day of the wedding, Alli went above and beyond to capture every special moment. She was well-prepared, but also incredibly personable, making everyone feel at ease in front of the camera. Her ability to blend into the background while still capturing candid, intimate moments was truly impressive. We love her style each and every photo. What sets Alli apart is her attention to detail and dedication. She knew the perfect spots for our first look, bridal shots, and family photos. She also managed to capture the essence and emotions of the day beautifully, providing us with a stunning collection of photos that we will cherish forever. As promised, the final photos were delivered well before the promised date. The quality of the images exceeded our expectations; every photo was vibrant, well-composed, and perfectly edited. We highly recommend Alli and her team to any couple looking for a wedding photographer who is not only talented but also dedicated to making your special day unforgettable. I'm a California native with a wanderlusting soul. I grew up in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe and spent my teenage years in the rainforests of Costa Rica before returning to the West Coast of the United States to study the art of wedding photography and earn my BFA with Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the pleasure of working with Grace Kathryn Photography for our wedding. Grace was an absolute joy to work with - she was efficient and detailed in her communication, always responding quickly to emails and keeping us updated every step of the way. Most importantly, Grace genuinely cared about capturing our love story and making sure we were happy with the photos. Her photography style is airy and beautifully epic. The photos turned out even better than we could have imagined, perfectly encapsulating all of the special moments and emotions from our big day. Grace was so helpful on the wedding day itself, guiding us through the schedule and making sure we stayed on track. She was constantly smiling and kept the mood light. We couldn't have asked for a better, kinder photographer to document our wedding journey. Grace's professionalism, talent and caring spirit made her an invaluable vendor and we'd recommend her enthusiastically to any couple looking for a photographer. We are so blessed to have found her.

We hired Brittany Taylor Photography months before our wedding and began the conversation with Brittany herself who was so kind and communicative from day 1. She heard out our vision, answered all of our questions, and made us feel so comfortable. From the start we knew she was not available for our wedding day but we had full confidence that whoever the photographer we got assigned with would be the perfect extension of Brittany. We were SO lucky to work with Claire who kicked us off with an amazing engagement shoot. She put in so much thought and effort into scouting a location and shooting with her felt like doing a fun art project with an old friend. We were so happy with our engagement photos, they turned out so beautifully and were delivered professionally and right on time. The week of our wedding there was a wildfire a few miles from the venue and it was somewhat touch and go. Brittany was hugely empathetic to our situation and was so kind during the stress of it all. Luckily the wedding went as planned. Claire did an amazing job of directing our crazy family, was efficient and captured all the group shots we wanted. She truly added so much value to our special day as a person and as a talented photographer. The photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Claire had a great eye for leveraging the scenery of our venue and finding the most magical shots. Major kudos to Claire and Brittany for making us feel beautiful and for capturing the essence of our day. Love how it's packaged nicely in an online gallery as well. THANK YOU X A MILLION!!!

Leah helped make our wedding the best day of our life. From the beginning, Leah was easy to work with, she listened closely to what we envisioned for our wedding and was able to provide us with creative ideas when we needed some help or felt overwhelmed. Leah's photography skills were superb and she provided us with so many beautiful pictures of us, our friends, venues, and so much more. Her turnaround time on getting us the photos was so quick too! Not only did she provide great photos, but she assisted as our "day-of-coordinator." Leah eased our fears so many times leading up to the wedding, she was easy to get a hold of or would reach out to us to make sure our wedding was coming together, and helped us communicate with some our other vendors when we needed an extra hand. Leah was the MVP of our wedding! You NEED her to be your photographer and she is worth every penny to be your day-of-coordinator too. We will be using Leah again for family photos!

I'm so happy you're here! My name is Lena and I'm all about the "spices of life" thanks to my strong Scandinavian roots. My studio started and currently resides in the fields of the Santa Ynez Valley, and spans to the beautiful landscapes, architecture, and vibrant vibes of Santa Barbara County.

What can we possibly say about Lena? She was the perfect addition to our wedding day. Her communication and flexibility during the preceding year kept our minds at ease (anything you don't have to stress about while planning a wedding is a win). On the day, she was such a positive presence to have around. And from what we've seen of the photos so far, we couldn't have possibly had anyone better. Thank you so much, Lena!!

Thank you for being here! My name is Amelie and I am extremely passionate about capturing intimate love stories. I love collaborating with my couples to create unique, meaningful galleries that reflect the most important moments of their days. I would describe my style as candid, emotional, dreamy, fun, and documentary-style.

We had the absolute best experience with our wedding photographer! From the moment she and her second shooter Lauren arrived, they brought such warmth and ease to the day. My husband and I are both notoriously awkward in front of the camera, but they made us feel so comfortable and natural—it honestly felt like hanging out with friends. The preview photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with her work. I’m beyond excited to see the full gallery. What impressed me even more was how gracefully they adapted to the day’s hiccups. Despite less-than-ideal direction, they rolled with the punches and got creative, making sure to capture everything beautifully and meaningfully. I truly can’t recommend her enough—professional, talented, calm under pressure, and just an overall joy to work with. Book her. You won’t regret it!

Hi There! I'm Katherine (or Kay!). I've loved weddings for as long as I could remember and I believe I have one of the best jobs in the whole world. I love being able to capture moments from one of the best days of a couples lives and I get to do it alongside my best friend, my Husband. You could call us nerds; we love Harry Potter, puzzles and video games. Our favorite vacation spot is definitely Las Vegas and we both love good Mexican food. We have two fur babies; Bella and Betsy and yes they are so spoiled. The Husband, Abraham (or Bram) is also an engineer when he's not capturing weddings and a Cal Poly alum.

Kay is simply the best photographer on the planet, me and my husband are from Italy and France and we’ve never met a photographer that is so professional, optimistic and fun. It’s like an old friend is taking pictures of you, she makes you feel very comfortable and knows how to make you look beautiful on your special day. We’ve hired her for our engagement session back in 2018 and now for our wedding on May 8th. What else is there to say? Be ready Kay. We’ll hire you so many other times and be ready to fly to Italy in a couple of years.

Jacob was an absolute pleasure to work with for our civil marriage and engagement photography. He was very friendly, informative, easy to communicate with and quick to respond from the moment that we reached out to him to inquire for his photo services. He was very flexible to work with, genuine throughout the entire process and made us feel so comfortable during the photography session although we are not naturals at being photographed. Jacob also had great advice on helping to make our photo session meaningful and memorable beyond just getting the amazing shots that he was able to capture. He was very in-tune with what we wanted to resemble in the photos and asked us all the right questions to truly understand our vision. He made us feel comfortable, had a lot of fun, and the final product came out beautifully. Our friends and family vouched that the photos truly captured our personalities and our relationship. Booking Jacob as our photographer for our civil marriage and engagement photography was one of the greatest joys and brought positive memories in the middle of the pandemic. Although we had to re-plan and navigate our wedding plans, working with Jacob and having these photos forever for our milestone day will be forever cherished. Thank you Jacob!

Hi friends! Spending time with rad people is one of my favorite things to do and getting to spend your special day along side you while capturing your love story...even better!! I lean more into micro-weddings and elopements as I love the intimate experience but am open to whatever you have planned! I'm just along for the ride:)

I am privileged to be close friends with Jenna and feel so lucky to have been able to work with such a talented friend. She did engagement and wedding photos for us. Jenna even got me to do a boudoir shoot the night before the wedding, which I would NOT have done with anyone else. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and the mood she evokes in her photos say more than words ever could. Jenna is one of the best people I know and having her by my side on the day of my wedding was paramount in calming my anxiety and making sure the day went smoothly. You will not find a more caring and professional person to work with.

  • Starts at $7,500
  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

I’ve been a Santa Barbara wedding photographer for 14 years, drawn to effortless, artful documentation from the very beginning. With a background in visual merchandising, marketing studies in Paris, and valuable business experience in the corporate world, I eventually returned to photography—always my first love after taking a film photography course in high school—and never looked back. More than a decade in, my love for weddings remains as strong as ever. My empathetic nature and holistic approach help create a warm, relaxed experience for every couple I work with.

Working with Emily was a dream come true! My wife and I hired her for our wedding and she ended up doing our engagement photos and the photos of our newborn baby. I don’t love photos being taken of me but she made me feel so comfortable and at home. She is so easy to work with and her photos are amazing! We are so excited to continue to work with her as our family grows.

Augusta Ottillia Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Carpinteria, CA

My passion for photography was built on nostalgia. From a young age, I loved opening of the old holiday popcorn tins full of generations of family photos that my mom kept in the hallway closet. It felt magical to pull out old memories and hear my mom recall the story behind a photo. Now, I love to capture these special memories for my clients to pass down to the next generation. My job is to encourage and direct you so you feel comfortable and confident while taking photos, capturing each unique story in a creative and authentic way. I do this by creating a space for us to truly get to know each other and be ourselves.

If you are reading this review in search of a wedding photographer, you can stop the search now, because Augusta is who you want! Augusta is so talented, so easy to connect with, and takes the time to truly understand what you and your partner are hoping to capture. On our actual wedding day, there were many times we were running behind schedule, and Augusta quickly adapted and still managed to capture more than we ever hoped for, or expected. More than that, I'm not sure how many weddings Augusta has worked, but she makes you feel like the most important and special person, is so attentive, has such a calming yet commanding presence (exactly what you need, but didn't know you needed until the day is actually unfolding), and makes you feel like you've been lifelong friends. She's extremely professional, great with communication, and if I had 15 weddings, I'd want her for all 15 of them.

(i-love-film) I really do. There is something about the tactile quality, the vibrant color, the absence of color, the patience required, the craft. Something about how it pauses each moment for just one more second in the best way possible. It’s why I let film influence the way I shoot, how I approach each wedding day, and capture each moment despite how much easier it would be to only shoot digital. My hope is that all this effort and care and passion and sentimental value translates into something so much more than a photo on a screen. That you remember the way you felt, the laughs, the tears, and all the in-between moments.

Jack was so nice to work with! He was super friendly and gave really helpful directions. The photos turned out great and I especially loved the film photos he took. I would definitely book a shoot with him again for something.
