The Kayla Effect was born from a passion for art. I have always loved using the gifts God has given me. From drawing with pencils, to acrylics, to selling masterpieces of oil paintings, now to enhancing beauty with makeup! As a professional makeup artist, I believe makeup is more than products. It's seeing the look on brides faces when they look in the mirror after my glam. It's the conversations, and bringing a sense of peace to the bride on what might be a day full of nerves. After two decades working in fashion, TV, film & weddings in NYC, I returned to my hometown of Alexandria, MN, to create something meaningful. I’ve always been passionate about making people feel their most confident & beautiful, I saw a growing need for on-location hair & makeup services in this area. Destination Beauty was born from my desire to bring my expertise & passion to brides & clients locally and beyond.
