The Ashford Estate was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the beginning, their communication was incredibly responsive and attentive. They ran a full-service operation and helped coordinate our special day perfectly - their service was truly unmatched. The space was absolutely stunning, and the food was incredible. The place felt grand, but they made it feel like our home for our celebration. We knew how great the staff was from working with them directly, but we also received so many compliments from our guests on how kind, organized, and attentive they were. They were flexible, professional, and so accommodating throughout the entire process. They made our day so special, and we couldn't recommend The Ashford Estate enough. If you're looking for a wedding venue, just book the Hamilton Manor!! It's obviously stunning and spotless and the food is incredible (seriously, I cannot stress enough how good the food is), but the thing that takes it beyond is the staff. Everyone from the bartenders to the maitre d was so incredibly attentive--not just to us as the bride and groom but to every single one of our guests. Friends and family have reached out to say the food was delicious and the venue was gorgeous, but I'm still shocked by the number of people who have told us that they connected with someone on staff during the night. As a very Type A person, I went into the wedding planning process expecting to be overwhelmed, and from the minute we toured the Hamilton Manor, I was put at ease (thank you, Diana!). Our wedding day was totally stress free, and my husband and I are so grateful to everyone at the Hamilton Manor for making that possible. Weddings in NJ have gotten crazy expensive, but if you want the most for your money, this is where you need to get married!!

Sayen House & Gardens, located in historic Hamilton Square, NJ, was established in 1912 by Frederick Sayen, a passionate world traveler and gardener. The gardens boast over 1,000 azaleas, nearly 500 rhododendrons, and more than 250,000 spring bulbs that create a stunning seasonal display. Picturesque walking trails, gazebos, fish ponds, and vibrant floral arrangements offer a peaceful escape year-round. With its breathtaking natural setting, Sayen House is the perfect venue for weddings, celebrations, showers, business meetings, and more.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Does not provide event staff
  • No on-site bridal suite
You get a better price if you're a township resident, but even the pricing for out-of-township couples was still so reasonable! The location was very close to the train station and there was plenty of parking available for our guests. You'll be limited to their approved caterers and we went with D&D and the food was fantastic. They even had a special spread for our vegan family members which we greatly appreciated! The Temple Garden was beautiful and we really lucked out with our photographer knowing the location well enough to recommend where to shoot our pictures. But I definitely recommend going at least once to scope out where you want your couple pictures taken.

From the very first tour with Brenda, we knew Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm was truly special. There was an immediate warmth and sense of family that carried through every step of the planning process and into our wedding day. Our guests felt that same warmth. Allie, our Day of Coordinator, was absolutely incredible. Her organization, calm presence, and attention to detail made our entire day seamless and completely stress free. She and her team captured my vision perfectly and ensured everything flowed beautifully from start to finish. The farmhouse was the perfect space for getting ready, and every single person we worked with was attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in our experience. We also used Johnson’s in-house floral team, and Carol and her team completely blew us away. The florals were beyond anything I could have imagined and seeing them for the first time brought me to tears. They were truly stunning and transformed the space into something magical. The venue itself is breathtaking, but what truly sets Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm apart is the people. The Johnson family made us feel like family, and we are eternally grateful for the care and love they poured into making our wedding day a dream come true. We cannot wait to return to the farm for future celebrations or even just to enjoy a delicious homemade apple cider donut. Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm will always hold a special place in our hearts.
