Mercedes Mehling

Mercedes is a filmmaker & photographer based in Portland, Maine. Mercedes studied anthropology and sociology at Umass Amherst and brings her skills as a filmmaker to projects ranging from weddings to broadcast television to feature-length documentaries. She views her work through an anthropological lens - stepping back, observing, and allowing her subjects tell their story in their own words. She loves capturing beauty in everyday moments as well as those extra special days in people's lives.

Mercedes has worked in the media industry in Maine for many years and is currently the Creative Editor at P3 maine, a production company in Portland. She's worked on everything from feature length documentaries, to commercials, to music videos, to TV shows.
