Our picturesque marina offers an idyllic backdrop for first-look photos on your wedding day, a perfect way to capture the combination of history, charm, and seaside views that are embodied by a Wentworth by the Sea wedding. Start the wedding weekend with a poolside lobster bake, then wow your guests with an outdoor ceremony in our verdant gardens before finishing the evening in one of two elegant ballrooms. Finish the night with late-night snacks and drinks in the Salt bar and lounge. The stately backdrop of Wentworth by the Sea ensures it’s a wedding guests never forget.

Our resort's gardens offer two breathtaking backdrops for outdoor ceremonies. Exchange vows under our signature terracotta-roofed gazebo, which is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. The garden site comfortably accommodates 130 guests. For larger groups, the expansive back lawn, with its views of the building's historic architecture and mature trees, provides a stunning ceremony backdrop for up to 250 guests.

Wentworth Ballroom

The elegant white-paneled Wentworth Ballroom is the resort's largest reception space. Start the evening with a cocktail hour in the window-lined entry space, which boasts views of the harbor, then invite guests to the ballroom for dinner and dancing under the room's elegant crystal chandeliers.

Grand Ballroom

Celebrate with your closest loved ones in style

Guests will be transported back in time as they step through the doors of the meticulously restored circa-1874 Grand Ballroom. Smaller than the Wentworth Ballroom and equally as elegant, it features crystal chandeliers that line the ceiling, and the room is lined with large windows bedecked in layers of sumptuous fabric. The ballroom's location on the main floor provides guests access to the resort's porches when the evening is warm.

We got married at Wentworth by the sea hotel & spa in October 2025! We looked at quite a few places before deciding on this venue! I can honestly tell future brides that it was the BEST choice we have ever made! Catherine who was the manager took care of EVERYTHING for us, helped up go step by step and was able to make a very stressful time seem easy! They connect you with a bunch of vendors through them that you can use for invitations, florals, and cake! Every single vendor was reliable and easy to work with, and everything that they worked on came out amazing! I was so happy we used them all! One of the highlights of picking the Wentworth was the amazing bridal suite that you can get for the entire day, we were able to do hair and makeup in it! (no other place we toured would let me do makeup in the bridal suite) & they brought in food and drinks and you had a personal attendant helping you the entire day! We had our ceremony on the back lawn which was set up for fall and used the dock for photos by the water they came out stunning! Catherine and the team did an INCREDIBLE job setting up the ballroom, I gasped when I walked inside it was so stunning! We decided to drape the entire room and it was a wonderful choice it really added to the elegance! They took care of everything behind the scenes and I honestly don't think I had to worry about a single thing the day of. Everything went perfectly according to plan! The food was also incredible! My guests still talk about it! They also saved us appetizers from cocktail hour, and brought us up dessert to our hotel room that we didn't get to eat! They thought of everything under the sun and made sure it was a perfect day! I cannot say enough good things about Catherine and her team! If you are looking for a venue that is classy and timeless and you want a team that will make your day go perfectly have your wedding at Wentworth by the sea hotel and spa! Thank you Catherine and all of the incredible staff at Wentworth! You guys are the best!

If you're considering Wentworth by the Sea hotel for your wedding venue - just do it! They truly went above and beyond and blew us out of the water. We went with the Little Harbor Package in the Grand Ballroom - we were treated like royalty. Any issue we may have come across (few if not any at all!) it was quickly settled with zero stress. If you're looking for a one stop shop for everything wedding - they supply an excellent list of vendors, everything is on site, champagne around every corner, and talk about luxurious and beautiful! Kate, Catherine, and the entire Wentworth staff were extremely attentive, in person and via email - they were just incredible and I couldn't speak more highly about their professionalism. Our wedding guests are still complimenting Wentworth by the Sea - especially the food! Food is something not many people expect to be blown away by at a wedding - but boy they didn't disappoint! Some guests said it was the best filet they had EVER had!!! All of the food - appetizers, salads, entrees, dessert - everything was mouthwatering and buzzworthy. Again, if you're considering booking Wentworth by the Sea Hotel - this is your sign to book! I can't say enough wonderful things about all the people involved and the property itself with all of its amenities! We had the most wonderful wedding experience at Wentworth by the Sea and could not recommend this venue to other couples enough. Catherine Chapman and her staff were professional, communicative, and had our best interests in mind right at the start, from working out all of the last-minute details to staying in touch in the weeks following our wedding. They worked to ensure all of our needs were met – from food allergies to necessary photo breaks – and when we had questions or needed a last-minute change in our plans, they did everything they could to go above and beyond our expectations. The biggest takeaway we heard from our guests was how amazing the food and beverages were, and we couldn't agree more. At cocktail hour, the hors d'oeuvres were passed frequently, the appetizer stations were a hit, and the bar staff was excellent at keeping the lines moving. At the reception, there wasn't a clean plate in the entire ballroom. We also appreciated that the venue had great recommendations for vendors. From flowers to rentals and a band that kept everyone on their feet, we felt that we had the best team to support us and make our day look and feel exactly how we imagined. We could not have pictured a more perfect way to celebrate our love, and the staff at Wentworth by the Sea made us feel like one-in-a-million!
