Delightful, rustic, country chic wedding venue located in the suburbs of Chicago. A spacious 5,000 sqft, temperature controlled, traditional timber frame structure built by Amish. This event space will instantly make you and your guests feel at home on the farm, providing the charming country backdrop you’ve always envisioned for your special day. Constructed by 3rd generation Amish barn builders through a “barn raising,” The BARN is the first of its kind in Will County in the past 30+ years. It can comfortably accommodate up to 250 seated guests, including dance floor area. With its exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and a stunning 6ft crystal chandelier, the venue creates a breathtaking and romantic ambiance. Opened in June 2017, The BARN at COTTONWOOD is our new, nearly 5,000-sq foot, traditional, timber-frame barn and event space that will have you, and guests, feeling immediately at home on the farm. Exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and an 8-foot gleaming, crystal chandelier produce a dramatic and romantic atmosphere that will take your breath away! At the end of the evening the spotlight will be on you as you toss your bouquet from the loft balcony. It is the perfect country backdrop that is both charming and unique for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Amazing staff
Had our wedding 9/14/24. Absolutely amazing. Katy was so helpful and attentive and made planning a breeze. The staff were absolutely amazing and helped every step of the way. They would bring me drinks or anything I needed, helped carried my bouquet when I was walking with my dress, and even brought the golf cart around from the train since we were running late for our first dance. We rented out the slide and train and both were a HUGE hit. Everyone the next day raved about how much fun they had and it was one of the best weddings they have ever been too. The staff even let the slide go for another half hour since the kids (and adults) were having so much fun. Definitely recommend this venue if you want a rustic vibe.
Wedding Bliss
If I could do my wedding over again I would do it over and over again at the Barn at Cottonwood. We opted for the Giant Slide, Tractor Ride, Photobooth, Bonfire. In Lieu of a wedding cake, we did pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts provided by the venue. It was beautiful and means a lot to me that this was a family-owned operation. On the day of event, we had several attendants there for us for both the giant slide and tractor ride. Overall, it was a great experience, and I am very happy.
