About this venue

Nestled in the heart of Salem’s Historic District, The Grand Theatre is a timeless venue with over a century of rich history. Originally built in 1900, this architectural gem first served as an opera house and lodge hall, hosting vaudeville performances, live theater, and early motion pictures. Throughout the years, The Grand has undergone thoughtful renovations, blending historic charm with modern amenities. From its early Romanesque Revival design to later Art Deco influences, the venue has maintained its character while evolving into a premier destination for cultural and community events. Today, The Grand Theatre is managed by To The Ceiling Entertainment, an event group dedicated to making this historic space a vibrant hub for performances, weddings, and private events. With a stunning Theatre Room and Stage, as well as the Lodge Room, Ballroom, and Brick Room, the venue provides a range of flexible spaces to accommodate any gathering.
