About this venue
Chez Serendip is an estate and regenerative farm nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, designed for intimate, intentional weddings rooted in beauty, nature, and connection. Centered around a lovingly restored 1928 Carriage House, the six-acre property brings together old-growth redwoods, oak trees, gardens, barns, working land, and a 36-foot geodesic dome to create a setting that feels warm, soulful, and alive. Weddings are private, full-property experiences, allowing couples and their guests to be fully immersed in the land over time. We host a limited number of weddings each year to preserve the land and the quality of the experience. Couples are often drawn here for the blend of historic charm, art, music, and natural beauty. Horses, gardens, and space for movement and celebration create an experience that feels expressive rather than staged. Chez Serendip is best suited for those seeking meaning over spectacle, intimacy over scale, and a wedding held by story, land, and heart.

Great Wedding Venue
I’ve had the chance to work events and DJ at Chez Serendip, and it’s one of those venues that immediately puts both vendors and couples at ease. The space is beautiful without feeling overproduced, great flow, great energy, and thoughtfully designed for real celebrations, not just photos. The team cares deeply about the people and the moments happening in the room, and that shows every time. I’d absolutely recommend Chez Serendip to couples looking for a venue that supports creativity, connection, and an unforgettable party.
Great setting and team
Very warm and welcoming environment with a lot of interesting history. Alisa and Shawn are great hosts and just awesome people in general. With how hard they have been working on this property and every endeavor they set out on, it's safe to say you can expect nothing less than a 5 star experience whether it's a wedding, retreat, AirBnB stay, or one of the many different events they host at their space.
Unique venue, incredible staff
I got a chance to tour the venue a couple months back and I was super impressed with the vision of the founders and how unique the venue is. It really want to improve the world and build community with their work and it's obviously not just for the money, like many venues. I think Che Serendip would be splendid for any types of events and especially weddings. I really look forward to playing there soon!
