Shh Events comes from all of the experiences I have gained- all of the trade secrets- that set my experience as a wedding planner to an elevated level of expertise. Shh Events is a curator for love stories, and it's an honor to be a part of the stories we tell.
With a background in venue management and catering production, there isn't much that we are NOT able to do on a wedding day! Your planner is your protector of your wedding investment, you want to be sure you are hiring someone with experience, passion, dedication, and a vibe that matches well with you- after all, we are going to be celebrating one of the most personal milestones of your life!

Pricing can be negotiated based on the scope of your wedding day, and the level of involvement you are looking to participate in during planning. We can scale up to full service or scale back to details management. | Full service planning is ideal for the couple looking to have expert service throughout the entire planning process from engagement through the conclusion of the event, and beyond! Full planning offers all our our resources, the owner as your lead planner, a dedicated assistant, all of the features of partial planning, plus additional resources and special perks! If your wedding was a book, think of full service planning as having a ghost writer! | Our most popular package! Planning starts immediately upon booking with all services provided in our details management package. Best investment for your wedding day
Short story: if you're thinking of hiring Stephanie and/or her crew, DO IT! Stop hesitating and sign the contract with her now. We knew all along we'd get pregnant and have a baby before the wedding. We knew baby would be 6 months at the time of the wedding. Pregnant me thought I'd be able to handle it all. And then 3 months before delivery, I realized I was not handling it and needed help. I knew I needed to get a wedding planner to help figure out the rest of my vendors and everything else. I looked at a ton of wedding planner options, and I'm sure other ones were good, but Stephanie's vibes were just what I needed. She is a mom herself, so having her tell my anxious pregnant self that I was NOT to worry about wedding things the first month after delivery was what I needed. She's a mom AND a wedding planner, so if she's giving me explicit instructions to NOT worry about the wedding, I better trust her! It felt like I had a new close friend helping with everything. And like, I know we paid her good money to do all this, but it seems like she actually would want to be doing this no matter what. I had a breakdown about the hotels and day of/getting ready breakfast and lunch, and I called Stephanie crying; she immediately let me know this was not an issue, she'd talk to the hotel, get everything figured out, and just like that, my breakdown was done. I know there was so much behind the scenes that I didn't even know was happening. The centerpieces were flawless, the Shh team broke down everything at the end of the night and we just had to pick up our boxes from the venue within a few days. And getting a short video of moments of the day that we could keep for ourselves or post on social media was perfection. Your wedding day will feel magical and other wordly. It's so great to hire a trustworthy team that knows what they are doing to help decrease the stress and also make you feel like a queen and their best friend.

What a pro!
We used Stephanie and Shh Events for the "Partial Planning" option. We planned our wedding relatively quickly, and she was so helpful with great guides to walk us through the process, and great recommendations for vendors to use. We had a lot of surprises (lighting cues, Santa showing up, etc.) and Stephanie indulged all of our craziest ideas and helped make them a reality. And on the day, she was calm and on top of everything. We were SO happy with the outcome. We truly had the best day, and we can't thank her enough!

Best Planner in the Biz
We used Shh Events as our day-of coordinators, and Stephanie and her team are absolute rockstars. Caitlin and Vanessa kept us on track, managed setup and tear down (including our DIY flowers!), and somehow throughout all of it captured video moments on a highlight reel that we've re-watched a million times while waiting for our photos to get back! We both agree it was the best money spent to have the team corralling our vendors, creating/sharing timelines, and keeping track of all of the details for us. We were both able to be fully present, enjoy, and even get some solid relaxation time in during our wedding day. Couldn't be happier with our experience.

Amazing!
I cannot recommend Stephanie and her team enough. We went with the day-of coordinator package, and it was truly the best decision. Knowing that anything that popped up would be handled by Stephanie and her team gave us so much peace of mind. Every vendor we worked with commented on how organized and on top of things she was. They even helped with setup and tear-down for both our ceremony and reception spaces. Truly a top-notch team that made our day as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Best planner in Chicago
Working with Shh Events was an absolute dream for our wedding day. From my first phone call with Stephanie I was struck by her compassionate, encouraging, and calming demeanor. Her deep knowledge of the wedding industry was indispensable, and her expertise is truly unmatched in the city. On the day of our wedding, Shh Events kept our massive wedding party running smoothly, handling all communication and coordination with the vendors so my husband and I could simply enjoy the day stress-free. We cannot recommend Shh Events highly enough - they were an invaluable part of making our special day perfect! If you are from the South side of Chicago, make sure you get a South side planner! They just get it.
