Unorganized
While I was not a direct client, I was heavily involved in the planning and most importantly, the celebration, as the bride’s sister. Unfortunately, the service provided negatively impacted not only the couple but also myself and many of the guests. I began the day as an excited guest, but it quickly turned into an unexpected role as an impromptu coordinator. Throughout the event, several vendors approached me with questions that should have been directed to the wedding planner. Unfortunately, they were unable to get answers from Leticia or were not being guided to the appropriate person to resolve their issues. The venue itself was beautiful but quite large, with multiple areas for guests to gather. Because of this, there were many moments throughout the evening where I found myself directing guests where to go, for example, guiding the flower girls to their changing area, informing guests when it was time to be seated for the ceremony, and later asking guests to move toward the reception space when it began. These responsibilities should have been handled by the event coordination team. When we arrived at the reception room, the head table seating arrangements were completely incorrect. I personally witnessed several guests approach staff asking where they were supposed to sit and why their name cards were not at the head table, even though the seating chart clearly listed them there. This created unnecessary confusion at the start of the reception. In an effort to prevent further stress for the couple, I took it upon myself to locate the correct seating arrangement and guide guests to their seats. While doing so, a staff member abruptly told me not to touch the name cards and assured me they would resolve the issue. However, that staff member never returned with an answer, and once again I was left responding to questions that I should not have been responsible for. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for family and friends who invested significant time and money traveling to San Juan to celebrate the newlyweds. With a wedding of over 100 guests, the event required strong planning, attention to detail, and clear organization, qualities that were unfortunately lacking.
Leticia Bren•Apr 7, 2026Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. While I respect your right to express your experience as the bride’s sister, I must address several inaccuracies in your statement to ensure a fair and factual account of the event. You clearly stated that you were not a direct client, yet you describe assuming the role of an “impromptu coordinator.” Coordinating a wedding of this scale involves continuous, behind-the-scenes management of timelines, vendors, logistics, and problem-solving—responsibilities that were actively being handled throughout the event. As you mentioned stepping into that role, I can only assume you were also cueing the ceremony, reception flow, catering timing, DJ, live entertainment, and even the end-of-night logistics—because that is what true coordination entails. Those responsibilities, in reality, were managed by me and my team. All contracted vendors were in direct communication with me. These are professionals I regularly work with, and the statement that they were unable to receive direction is simply incorrect. Regarding guest direction, my team had designated staff assigned to guide guests throughout the venue, including transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. While you may have chosen to assist at certain moments, this was neither requested nor necessary, and it does not reflect a lack of coordination. Also the venue is not that big! Concerning the seating arrangements, there were last-minute challenges caused by delays from an external vendor, along with inconsistencies in the seating list provided. Despite this, my team was actively resolving the issue. Intervening by handling name cards while the situation was being managed can create additional confusion rather than solve it. It is also important to note that there were moments involving guest behavior that required coordination with the venue, which were handled internally to ensure the event continued smoothly and without disruption to the couple. Which ended with the risk of manager cutting hours of the event. Weddings of this size and complexity require constant real-time adjustments, many of which are not visible to guests. While you may have perceived gaps, the event proceeded on schedule, guests were attended to, and the celebration was successfully carried out. I stand firmly by the work delivered and the professionalism of my team. That said, I appreciate you sharing your perspective. Best regards, Leticia

Disappointing
Working with Leticia Bren Weddings was incredibly stressful from start to finish. Communication was hard to get, and when we did hear back, responses felt dismissive of our concerns. Important details fell through the cracks, and there was no real structure or support on the actual wedding day itself. A planner's job is to bring organization and calm to the process, but instead we felt abandoned and disorganized. For what we paid, the level of care and professionalism just wasn't there. I would not recommend this planner to other couples.
Leticia Bren•Apr 6, 2026Hello Virginia, I hope you’re doing well. I don’t have you listed in my records as a client. Because of this, I’m a bit confused by your comment stating that “communication was hard to get, and when we did hear back, responses felt dismissive of our concerns.” Based on the circumstances, this does not reflect a genuine client experience and therefore should not be treated as such. Best regards, Leticia
