Why, hello there. I'm the creative behind the lens. I am a Canadian who pursued his true love, got married and found himself in the United States. It turns out, it can take some time to receive permanent residency, which led me to pick up a camera and fall in love with the art.

For me, photography is about connecting with people and capturing them in ways they’ve never seen themselves. Sometimes, when it comes to being in front of the lens, people have no idea how to simply “be” and I find that journey a beautiful thing. It’s my passion to guide you through that and to truly capture your authenticity behind your smile. And so, I think it is an incredible hono(u)r getting to work with people who just want to celebrate life, those who are completely in love and partners who are unapologetically themselves.     Working with Zhaun was one of the most enjoyable parts of planning our wedding. He perfectly balanced our desire for having some formal posed shots with mostly candid, documentary-styled shots throughout the day. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he also helped to bring calm to the chaos of our wedding day. His welcoming demeanor allowed for our family and wedding party to feel immediately comfortable when having their formals shot by Zhaun. Despite meeting Zhaun only a handful of times over video calls, our engagement shoot, and now our wedding day, he truly has felt like a friend and we’ll miss working with him!

    Zhaun was an amazing photographer! He was so organized and really made me and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera.     Zhaun is an amazing photographer and person who, with top notch professionalism, will beautifully and creatively capture your special day. He is truly so invested in couples, from our first inquiry to album delivery and beyond. We first met Zhaun when he photographed my sister's wedding in 2021, the same wedding where I met my now husband. He noticed the sparks flying that day and took photos of us dancing together for the first time. It was our number one priority when planning our wedding to have him as a part of our day. His energy throughout the planning process and on the day of is calm yet energetic with a willingness to try different things at times and let the day play out while capturing the moments as they happen naturally. He will not rush you or make you feel overwhelmed. It is so important to have a photographer that vibes with the couple and the group on the day of since you spend a lot of the day together, and I can tell you Zhaun goes out of his way to ensure he gets to know the couple prior to the event and understands group dynamics before even showing up to the day. He is great with kids, too! Many of our guests remarked at his professionalism and work ethic, and countless people have been in awe of our photos and will be for years to come. The final product is above and beyond in the way he captures light, emotion, movement and tradition. It all comes through when looking at the photos. I am so grateful to have gotten the chance to have worked with Zhaun and hope to work with him again to capture more important moments for our family in the future. 10000% would recommend.

    We couldn’t be more thankful for Zhaun as our wedding photographer. From start to finish, he met and exceeded our expectations. His editing style is immediately what caught our attention - cinematic yet organic; emotional without feeling overly staged, and beautifully true to life. Zhaun also shot our engagement session at two separate locations in Beacon Hill and Tatte, and the photos felt effortlessly authentic - like a true reflection of us, but slightly elevated in the best way. He made us feel comfortable the entire time, and coached us with instructions that didn’t make anything feel posed or unnatural. On our wedding day, he was so much more than just a photographer - he was easily the best vendor we worked with. He brought a calm, confident presence and honestly felt like a second wedding coordinator. He kept things flowing smoothly, without ever feeling intrusive. Zhaun was direct, yet incredibly personable with our guests. The kids absolutely loved his silly faces while shouting out “monkey!” and “turkey!” to capture their genuine smiles, and he even hugged the groom after shooting an emotional first touch.
