Hello! I'm Mary. I am wife to my best friend and love of my life, mother to a "small army" of children, photographer, designer and chocolate lover (hence the name Chocolate Paper Studios). My passion for photography is long-standing and I've always been a huge fan of weddings. With over a decade of experience photographing weddings, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, years of continued photography education and international awards within the photography industry, I take my responsibility of capturing your memories very seriously (with a good sense of humor and grace).

I truly enjoy being celebrating all love and capturing the precious moments that take place throughout the wedding day. I'm excited to meet every couple who comes my way and share in their dream wedding, making it as stress free as possible so you can focus on what truly matters. My couples come first and I take the honor of documenting your priceless memories to heart before, during and after the big day.

Chocolate Paper Studios was the BEST photographer for our wedding! From the moment we first spoke, the photographer made us feel so comfortable and excited for our big day. She listened closely to all of our requests and captured every special moment we wanted, and so many more that we didn't even know to ask for. The photos are absolutely stunning - we are thrilled with how they turned out and could not have asked for a better photographer to make our wedding day so incredibly special. My husband and I booked Mary with Chocolate Paper Studios as our wedding photographer and we have been ecstatic with the level care and service we have received throughout our experience with her. We booked Mary, along with her husband Chad of Perfect Day DJs, through a package offered by Chad, "Perfect Day with Chocolate on Top," and it was possibly one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding! The package included a wedding DJ with ceremony audio, an engagement photo session, and 2 photographers on the day of our wedding! The engagement photo session was so much fun! Like most people my husband and I don't often book a photographer and Mary was able to direct us through multiple different poses and photos that all came out beautifully. We both fell in love with the pictures and couldn't help but talk about how amazing they are. As our wedding day approached Mary stayed in contact with us and created a carefully planned timeline to accommodate family portraits with every member of our rather large family. When our wedding day finally arrived, Mary came with her partner photographer and equipped with two cameras and a slew of gadgets herself! They captured each important moment throughout the day and I am forever grateful for this because it's true when they say your wedding day will feel like a blur. Not only were they able to document such an important day for us but Mary and her partner Pamela were so much fun to work with and helped hype us up throughout the day! Our family even commented on how great of a team we had working on our wedding! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our photographer was absolutely amazing — so timely, efficient, and incredibly fun to work with. She made the entire process effortless and captured our day so beautifully; every photo truly feels like a memory frozen in time. Having her husband Chad from Perfect Day DJs as our DJ was the perfect combo — he kept the dance floor full all night and the energy high. Together they made our wedding day absolutely unforgettable. We can’t recommend them enough!

I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, no matter the time frame (the earlier the better of course). I take on a limited number of weddings a year so I can devote quality time to each and every couple.

While I normally shoot on my own for engagement sessions, I always have a second photographer/assistant with me at each wedding.

It really depends on your day as every wedding and couple are different, and I never limit the number of images I deliver, but on average I'd say I deliver 800-1000 images for an 8 hour wedding day coverage. 50-75 for my typical engagement sessions.

My turnaround time varies by season but I assure you my lines of communication are always open with my couples. Typically it will be 3 weeks for your full engagement session to be delivered and 6-8 weeks for your full wedding gallery to be delivered. I do provide sneak peeks within the first week after your session and/or wedding day.

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. However I know some very talented and reputable videographers in the area to whom I can refer you that will complement my style of photography so your images and video will go well together.

Yes! I touch each and every image to make sure it is the best quality and reflects you as a couple and the feeling of your big day. My editing is true-to-life, classic and timeless with a bit of cinematic quality.

In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a wedding. In the unlikely case that doctors tell me I might be physically unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my trusted associate photographers or esteemed colleagues in the industry. I will still edit all your images so you'd get that finished quality you've come to expect from me.
