What if I want engagements and bridals?

Do you offer custom wedding albums?

We sure do! Add on a custom, professionally designed and curated, heirloom-quality, leather or cloth cover wedding album, starting at $500.

Do you travel?

Accepted Answer

We do! We've photographed weddings in 14 states and 3 countries so far. Travel within 2 hours of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area is included in all packages, and we are happy to provide a custom quote for weddings requiring travel beyond that point.

Question 4

Do you back up your photos? What if a camera fails, or if you forget a battery or SD card?

We always bring an extra camera with us to your session or wedding, so we have three on us total in case one (or two) fails. We have an obscene amount of batteries and SD cards that we’re anal retentive about always keeping, fully charged, in all three of our camera bags. There’s no way we’re gonna be without them on your day. Backing up photos? Ohhhh yes. Obsessively. Both of our main cameras have dual card slots, which means they record to two SD cards simultaneously in case one gets lost or corrupted, and when we get home from your wedding we immediately back up every card to two different external harddrives + the cloud.

Do you also offer video services?

Yes! We have partnered with Mint Lotus Films and brought their founder, Yuri, into the fold and part of our team for couples who want to bundle and book one company for both. Much more of his work can be found on our website, or his youtube page of the same name.

Question 6

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Editing is the most time intensive, labor-of-love part of our job! We typically send a sneak peek within 7-10 days, and the final gallery delivery depends entirely on how busy our the current and previous season was. On the short end, 5-7 weeks; when we are in the thick of spring and fall, 8-12 weeks. We are happy to provide other photos as needed in the interim, like if you need that special photo of you and your grandma to give to her for a birthday present.

How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Question 8

Do you have insurance?

Accepted Answer

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Question 9

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Question 10

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

We do! Your lead photographer will always be Emma, and her husband James or trusted employee Arturo or Rachel are typically her second shooters. If you bundle with video, Yuri is our lead videographer, and if you would like a second videographer we can always add that in.

Question 11

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

As far in advance as possible, but if you are on a shorter timeline, just reach out for my availability and we might still have your date open! In order, the first months to book up for us are: March, April, October, November, February, September, December.

Are you LGBTQ+ Friendly?

Absolutely - We are both allies and affirming vendors, who are honored to create a safe space for your love story!

Question 13

Do you have a contract and full galleries to view?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We always send links to our full galleries when we receive your inquiry email, and send our contract to review in your proposal document. Our contract includes clauses on rescheduling, cancelling, and protections for you if we suffer an emergency and are unable to make it to your event. We are also happy to go over all of these policies in our consultation call with you. We are fully transparent!

Do you offer payment plans or discounts?

We do! 40% down to hold your date. We can then split your remaining payments that will be billed automatically on the 1st of each month. We are happy to work with you for a custom payment plan tailored to your individual circumstances.

Do you cover elopements?

Accepted Answer

We live for covering elopements! Whether it's quick jaunt to Austin, the city lights of NYC, a beach in Ibiza, or the other-wordly landscapes of Iceland, we are ready and stoked to help you plan the way you want your day to be celebrated.

Question 16

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

We have protections for you covered in our contract, but the number one goal for us is to make sure you have someone whose work and managing style is similar to ours, as that is what you'd been planning on. In the event that one or both of the duo-photography-team cannot make it due to circumstances outside our control, we take on the responsibility of finding a badass photographer to stand in in our place. We vet them, and get your final approval, contract them as temp employees under Canyon & Pine, take care of their payment, and edit the final photos / video ourselves so you still get our signature style.
