I am a photo-documentary wedding photographer, specializing in capturing all the authentic and unscripted moments of your wedding day. With over 10 years of experience, I've proudly photographed hundreds (and hundreds) of weddings in NJ, NYC and destinations worldwide. Though my photography work has been published in magazines, and I've garnered my fair share of awards over the years, my proudest achievement till this day was when my youngest son finally learned how to ride a two-wheeler. I mean, c'mon: that's pretty awesome, right?

When we were planning our New York City wedding, we didn't quite know where to start when selecting our photographer. We are both creatives and we wanted someone who had a unique style that didn't feel too 'generic'. We asked around our networks and had Ben recommended to us.. and boy, are we lucky to have found him. Ben and his entire team (including his manager, Abby, and wife, Karis) were an absolute joy to work with- and while we haven't had a chance to see all of the finished pictures quite yet, the sneak peeks he has shown us are absolutely perfect. He even printed a few selects out during dinner and presented them to us as we were sitting at the table - it was the best surprise! Ben is a true artist. He allows the atmosphere and the energy of the room influence where and how he shoots. He finds natural light and discovers all of the hidden nooks and crannies in a space to create true magic. In addition to his artistry, Ben will work with you and tailor (or streamline) his services wherever he can to meet your target budget - which does not always happen with vendors at his level. Very grateful for his flexibility. We are so grateful to have found Ben - we can't recommend him and his incredible team enough!

Cannot recommend Ben enough! We did our engagement pictures with Ben ahead of our wedding and they were 1000/10. He is a master at finding the perfect lighting and did the perfect mix of the more modern photos we love and the more traditional ones our parents/grandparents love. My husband and I are both terrible at posing but Ben kept us comfortable and laughing our entire wedding day and made our photos look so natural! He is hilarious and brought such positive energy the entire day - everyone in our bridal party couldn’t say enough wonderful things about Ben! Ben even gave us a few preview physical prints during our reception which was such a beautiful touch! Can’t recommend Ben enough!

Ben Lau was the best Wedding Photographer -- highly highly recommend! From our Engagement Shoot to our Wedding Photos, everything came out beautifully! From the classic Wedding shots, to fun shots (cropping our Cat in a few) to artsy shots we didn't know we wanted. He's a pleasure to work with, keeping us laughing and having fun and at ease the whole time. He and his team are so responsive too -- which helps tremendously in the chaos of Wedding planning! His day-of timeline also helped keep things moving and organized. Thank you Ben and team for capturing our Wedding!
