As a Life-Cycle Celebrant I am a trained ceremony specialist. I help people create ceremonies that are meaningful, authentic and beautiful. I am also an ordained InterFaith Minister. I honor all philosophies, beliefs and traditions--religious, secular, spiritual, interfaith and multicultural. My intention is always for you to have a ceremony that creates lasting connections in your family and community, one that your guests remember for years to come.
Since your ceremony will be the central moment of your wedding day it is my hope for you that it will be a true reflection of your love and your intentions for your life together. Often couples wish to honor the traditions of their families while also expressing their own values. Some couples have elements in mind that they know they want to include and other couples seek more guidance. I promise that I will listen to you, throw in a healthy dose of compassion, humor and encouragement, and do all in my power to create the perfect ceremony with you. Yes, indeed! I'm happy to travel to officiate your wedding ceremony. My fees fall within a range depending on a number of elements including travel and whether a rehearsal is required. Once we've had our call where I can understand fully about your vision for your ceremony I'll be able to give you a firm quote
Yes! Generally speaking I offer three packages: the Complete Celebrant Ceremony package, the Sweet, Simple Ceremony package and the 15 Minute Minimalist Ceremony + Marriage License Signing. No matter which package you choose I am very talented at officiating ceremony and I take pride in delivering each ceremony from my heart with sincerity and enthusiasm for all to hear and appreciate.
For the Sweet, Simple Ceremony we will have a phone conversation where I’ll listen for your beliefs, values and personalities. I provide you with a customized ceremony template based on our conversation with elements that express your story, beliefs and intentions. Use traditional vows or write your own. You will have complete choice of your ceremony including “word for word” approval of the ceremony script. I am available by phone or email for unlimited consultations regarding your ceremony. The Sweet, Simple Ceremony ranges from $500 – $800 also depending on travel, whether or not a rehearsal is necessary, the elements included, and so on.
The choice is for couples who want a minimal ceremony with up to 8 guests in a lovely, memorable setting within 15 miles of downtown Asheville. We’ll have a quick call where you’ll choose the tone for your ceremony: spiritual, religious or secular. I’ll provide you with a template for a 15 minute ceremony based on your choice including sample vows. You’re also welcome to write your own vows. I can recommend low-cost or no cost locations for your ceremony. The 15 minute Minimalist Ceremony + Marriage License Signing ranges from $200 – $250 depending on the venue location.
For the Complete Celebrant Ceremony you will actively contribute to the content of your wedding ceremony. In addition to everything in the Sweet, Simple package I will send each of you a Questionnaire where you'll tell me about your unique love story. I hear from couples that this is a really enjoyable and special experience for them. From this I'll write your story including your own words, memories and intentions. The Complete Celebrant Ceremony Package ranges from $700 to $1000 depending on travel, whether or not a rehearsal is necessary, the elements included, etc.

I have officiated weddings since 2010, after I became a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant and fulfilled my ordination. Before 2010 I enjoyed creating and facilitating ceremonies informally for my family and community. Other ceremonies I love to facilitate include baby blessings, memorials and celebrations of life, and ceremonies to mark the seasons.
