I’m Stephanie, the human behind Lovebug Florals. I am an artist at heart, I graduated with a focus in illustration, but always loved drawing and sculpture (as a kid I wanted to do special effects makeup for movies) I'm grateful to have found a way to combine my undying love of nature with a sculptural creative outlet. Floral design has a way of speaking when words fail. For me, floristry is more than just a career—it’s been a lifeline, a source of healing, and a way to use my creativity, bringing beauty into a world that can be ugly.

    I ordered a moody goth bouquet from Lovebug Florals for my October elopement and was amazed at the artistry and attention to detail!! Stephanie knew exactly what I was imagining and really brought it to life! The flowers were super high quality, the bows and extra little details were perfect -- I was so obsessed. Communication was also great, and she made the process extremely easy! I highly recommend Lovebug Florals, especially if you need something spooky and romantic.

    I don’t even know how to thank Stephanie at Lovebug Florals enough for the absolutely incredible job she did for our 5th Anniversary party. Her work went so far beyond anything I could have imagined. It truly blew my mind and exceeded every expectation. From our very first in-person meeting, I felt completely understood. We talked through my style and vision, and I trusted her enough to give her creative freedom — which was the best decision I could have made. She took my ideas and brought them to life in the most thoughtful, artistic, and stunning way. She went so far beyond what was asked of her as a florist as well. Stephanie hand-dipped and painted our taper candles, adding contrasting polka dots to match our theme, and also hand-painted our tea light vases. Every detail felt intentional and special. She even installed a massive, colorful bunting across the ceiling — something we hadn’t discussed — and it became one of the biggest highlights of the entire night. The colors, the styling, the feathers woven into the florals… it was all just perfect. Our guests were raving all night about the florals and installations, and honestly, it brought me so much joy. My eyes were full of tears when I walked in and saw the space. It was one of the true highlights of my evening. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough. I was just showing off her work and recommended her to someone else just days ago! I genuinely hope I get the chance to work with her again in the future. If you’re looking for someone who is creative, intuitive, detail-oriented, and truly gifted, Lovebug Florals is it! :)

    We had two priorities for florist: someone who understood the high fantasy, whimsical vibes we were looking for, and someone queer affirming. Lovebug Florals (formerly Sunflower Kate) fit both perfectly. The experience was super easy, fair priced, and Stephanie is supremely talented at figuring out your vision and making it real. Highly recommend!
