Welcome to Mama Gina Catering, an Authentic Italian Food Experience. All my menu items include the most amazing Italian flavors taught to me by my Nana from when I was a little girl. My grandparents, born & raised in Italy came to this country by way of Ellis Island. I loved listening to the stories they told with their Italian friends most of which spoke broken English. All of my teachings were hands on not hand written “little of this & little of that" then tasting until you are happy. To this day that is how I cook because Italian Food is all about fresh ingredients, heart, taste and a deep love of cooking.

I bring a wide variety of Italian cuisine all from scratch. Every dish is made with love. It is my top priority to make sure your special day is filled with joy with every bite. I make it a point to share my experiences and stay in touch from time of booking until your special day. I always go above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible. Best of all I pride myself with the ability to be able to work with everyone’s budget.

Best Caterer- High Recommend
I got married on 11/8/2025 at the beautiful The Hidden Homestead located in Smiths Grove, Kentucky. It took my spouse and I a really long time to find a caterer, we wanted to find just the right people and the right type of food. I am a registered dietitian, and we got engaged in Paris, France, so good food was very important to us both! We could not have found a better caterer. We first met both Gina and her husband Scott when we completed our tasting: we were invited into their home like a traditional Italian does. We immediately knew we had found our caterer. We also decided to get Cannolis for our wedding as well, and they were a huge hit! EVERYONE absolutely LOVED them. We got several compliments throughout the night and even after our wedding regarding how incredible the food was. To make things even better, Mama Gina stepped right into action when one of our vendors unfortunately fell out and was not able to continue with us just 3 days before our wedding. They made sure to make all of the things we wanted for our wedding day: chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered strawberries in addition to the meal that her and Scott had already planned on making. If I were to re-plan our wedding, I would have chosen Mama Gina Catering sooner! Thank you both so much for all of your hard work, being so kind, helpful, and simply good people serving an incredible experience. We will never forget how beautiful our wedding was, and a huge thanks to that is because of Mama Gina and Scott.

Authentic Italian!
Mama Gina's Catering provided top notch communication throughout the entire wedding planning process. Their team perfected authentic Italian cuisine that left all of our guests raving. Other than the amazing food, their personalities and attention to detail are fantastic! If you're looking for the most delicious, real tasting, great quality food, paired with fun personalities and attention to the most important details- Mama Gina has it!

Incredible food and kind owners!!
Truly one of the kindest and most down to Earth people i've ever met! Gina works with your budget and ensures that no matter how tight or long it is, you will have incredible food! She also is extremely detail oriented and makes sure to take special care regarding allergy prevention. I will be sure to contact Mama Gina's Catering for any future events I have.

From the very beginning, Gina made us feel like we were part of her family—just like a true Italian “Mama” would! Her warmth, care, and attention to detail were unmatched. She was with us every step of the way, always checking in and making sure we felt supported and stress-free. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely the best we’ve ever had. Everything was homemade, bursting with flavor, and made with love. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. Her husband Scott brought such a fun and creative touch to the evening with tableside, freshly filled cannolis that our guests are still raving about! Together, Gina and Scott go above and beyond, not just for the couple, but for the entire family, bridal party, and even the vendors. Every single person felt taken care of.
