The Shared Piece of Cake is a wedding and dessert bakery located in Van Nuys. Owned and operated by two sisters, The Shared Piece of Cake is passionate about creating cakes and desserts that are unique, memorable and taste as good as they look. Whether you are dreaming of a classic tiered cake or an eclectic dessert table, we work with you to create the dessert of your dreams!

We are an allergy friendly bakery! We are 100% gluten and peanut free and accommodate all other allergens. Your needs are our priority. We believe in cake that actually tastes good! We use real ingredients and make everything from scratch in our kitchen.

    The Shared Piece of Cake was an exceptional choice for our wedding cake. From the very beginning, their communication was effective, responsive, and down-to-earth, which put us at ease throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, the baker herself delivered the cake to the venue and seamlessly navigated the chaos of setting up for our backyard celebration with minimal direction from us. The quality of their work was truly professional - the cake was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. I'm normally not a fan of red velvet, but their unique recipe was moist, flavorful, and lingered on the tongue in the most delightful way. We were so happy we went with a local baker over a chain store, as the cake would have paled in comparison. The Shared Piece of Cake provided exceptional value and we couldn't be more pleased with their contribution to our special day.

    Emma and Arianna did all the desserts for my bridal shower and wedding, and they were absolutely incredible. For our wedding cake they put together such a thoughtful and cute tasting box. The cake was exactly what we wanted and matched our inspo photos perfectly. Every guest at my bridal shower and wedding wanted to know where the desserts were from! They also set everything up for both events and made everything look so beautiful. DON'T WAIT - just book them!
