Melissa Albano has been creating cakes for the last 30 years. It started with her watching her grandmother and being so intrigued she eventually started teaching herself the art of cake. She started out by making family cakes, eventually sharing them on social media. Within months a family business turned into a full time business. Cakes by Melissa has created artisinal cakes for the last 15 years. From H.S prom cupcakes, to a shed made for Tanglewood, to large corporate orders, to the most intricately designed wedding cake. It has been her passion for years, and shows in each and every cake or dessert she makes.

I am highly skilled at sculpted 3d cakes. I have made car cakes with working lights, firetruck cakes with lights and sirens, sculpted animals, a meatball sub cake to the replica shed for Tanglewood to intricately designed wedding cakes. I work diligently with my clients with allergies, to ensure they have a delicious dessert , without compromising health ,and offer a wide variety for allergens. I offer local set up and delivery of all of my desserts. I have even delivered as far as New Jersey with a wedding cake. I treat my cakes and desserts with the utmost care, to ensure every client gets just what they ordered, delivered safely.

    Melissa and her cakes are absolutely amazing! She has so many flavors to choose from, and her combinations were delicious. When we went for our tasting, we had a hard time deciding so we ended up booking her to make our rehearsal dinner cake as well so we could have another flavor cake! Her designs are beautiful and she was so easy to work with. We were very happy that we ordered more cake than needed, so we were able to enjoy it after our wedding day. Will definitely be ordering more cakes from her in the future, 10/10 would recommend!

    Working with Melissa for our wedding was so easy during a time where everything is so stressful. We started with a tasting of all of the flavors we wanted to try, and after trying multiple different bakers prior and not being impressed, the taste of her cakes certainly reigned supreme! We were able to customize colors and flavors and mixing match to exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Melissa’s team came and set up the desserts, making everything again very stress-free. Everyone was very happy with the flavors of the cakes and I would highly recommend Melissa for your next event! Whether it’s a wedding, a baby shower, a birthday cake she is skilled to help your ideas come to life! I wish we were able to attach photographs because everything came out so beautiful

    It was so easy to work with Melissa! She answered all my questions in a timely manner, and my wedding cake was beautifully and delicious. I just regret not buying a bigger cake since there were no left overs.
