Shaded Soul Band is based in Connecticut and travels across New England to perform at weddings, corporate functions, outdoor concerts, and other events. R&B, Motown, Funk Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Swing, Rock, Pop, Disco, and Top 40 are only a few of the decades represented in our music. Five of our eight members sing lead vocals so we are able to offer a wide range of music to choose from. If you are looking for a high-energy, fun, versatile live wedding band with a flair for style and sophistication you have found us!

We listen to your ideas, concerns, and desires and make it our mission to create the event of your dreams. The compliments won’t stop coming!
We booked Shaded Soul Band for our wedding this past March and couldn't be happier with the decision. A live band was an absolute must for our wedding day and Shaded Soul was the perfect choice. Renee, the band leader stayed in touch with us throughout the entire planning process and answered every question with helpful details. She worked behind the scenes with our venue and our schedules, providing a truly stress-free experience since the first inquiry. On our wedding day, the band kept the fun and energy up all night, our guests were dancing from start to finish with a perfect mix of songs. They're polished professionals who really know how to read the room and keep the party going. They even learned our first dance song (which they did a phenomenal job with). Renee also coordinated a song in honor of my late father which was so special and meaningful to myself and my now husband. We continue to receive compliments about Shaded Soul, even weeks after the wedding! Thank you so much to Renee and the entire Shaded Soul band for making a last impression on our wedding!

Renee & Christian, What a night to remember! We had so much fun with you both. Your grand entrance down the stairs was epic! When I looked over at you during the tribute to your father my heart knew he heard every note of that song. Best wedding band ever
Renee and Shaded Soul Band were the life of the party at our wedding in Madison CT this June!! After speaking with a number of Boston and NY based bands, we came across Shaded Soul and had the opportunity to chat with Renee. For the first time in the process we didn't feel like we were being sold magazines at the door or an overpriced used car with hidden problems. Renee spoke with us like we were real people, had endless tips and tricks for planning a fantastic reception, and didn't nickel and dime us for every extra note sung or string strummed. Renee and Shaded Soul provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They accommodated our friends acoustic guitar number during the ceremony, played playlists we had put together during times they weren't playing, but when it came time to play the right song to keep everyone on the dance floor, we left it to the band and they made all the right choices.... we saved money on booze because no one would take a break from dancing to go to the bar! The musicianship of this band is top notch, they are all masters of their crafts and unlike many other wedding bands they have clearly been playing together for years. No rotating through a roster of musicians, booking the band under the same name at multiple events in one night, just a group of talented players with a deep repertoire whose passion is getting people to dance and have a great time. A huge thanks to Renee and Shaded Soul Band for helping make our wedding the best night of our lives!
