    We used DJ Kash for our wedding sangeet a few weeks ago. He did an excellent job leading the mobile baraat and the sangeet itself too. Our wedding was Fusion – Indian/American, and Kash did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor. Kash was professional, communicative, and kind from the day we first reached out, the weeks leading up to the event, the event itself, and even the days following. He executed our detailed timeline very well. We would recommend Kash for future events, especially Indian/American ones.

    I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

    DJ Kash was initially easy to work and communicate with and our wedding was mostly a success. However, on the day of our Sangeet he informed our wedding planner that he was double booked and would be sending a replacement DJ, whom we had never met or spoken to. This DJ played well but made a mistake during a performance and overplayed his time without permission and asked for additional compensation. All ensuing communication throughout the weekend was unprofessional and stressful as well as disconcerting. The following day during the reception DJ Kash was friendly but upon meeting the groom immediately spoke of money and finances. He sent text messages to both bride and groom multiple times throughout the wedding day regarding money, including immediately prior to the wedding ceremony, and lengthy messages immediately after the wedding weekend with insulting comments and an unwillingness to compromise. Overall, I would not recommend his team again to avoid the sheer added stress and poor communication on the weekend of the wedding.

Now that Zola has enabled replies, I'm finally able to reply to this review, and address a few points to provide clarity for future clients reading through my reviews on this platform: (1) The change in the DJ for your Sangeet-night was not a last-minute decision. I proactively informed your planner ahead of time and coordinated all the necessary details and had fully briefed the DJ to ensure a smooth event. I made this decision to avoid any undue stress on you & Michael during an already busy weekend. (2) Regarding the DJ playing longer than the agreed time at the Sangeet, I sincerely apologize for this oversight. While everyone was enjoying themselves, the DJ continued playing, expecting someone to signal when to stop. Although this resulted in an extra hour of dancing for your guests, his request for additional compensation aligned with industry standards. I take full responsibility for the situation and have addressed it within my team to prevent similar issues in the future. (3) Throughout the weekend, I made every effort to communicate professionally and focus on delivering the best possible experience. My messages about payment were in line with the terms of our contract where all the monies were supposed to be released before the event starts, and I only sent one friendly reminder during the wedding weekend to ensure timely settlement so I can then turnaround and pay my team after you release the remaining balance. (4) Beyond our agreement, I provided several complimentary services, including creating custom mixes free of charge and facilitating a Baraat despite unexpected weather. While many vendors charge around $750 for a mobile Baraat, I offered this service at no additional cost. These gestures were intended to enhance your celebration, and I hope they added value to your experience. (5) I worked diligently and made significant efforts to ensure your wedding weekend was a success. While it’s disappointing to hear that your experience fell short of expectations, I truly hope my contributions helped create special moments for you and your guests. I remain deeply committed to my clients and their happiness, and it’s disappointing to hear your experience fell short of expectations. Some of the things you mentioned in your review are far from the truth, but nevertheless, I wish you both all the best in your journey together! Kind regards, DJ Kash

    DJ Kash did an awesome job of selecting and playing music for my daughter’s wedding that got everyone up on the dance floor. He is very professional and has an amazing flair for talking to the audience and building rapport with them. He was highly recommended by a friend and we are so glad we went with him.
