My husband and I just adore the venue and the team that comes along with it! Communication is top notch here! We felt such a weight lifted off our shoulders working with such a fabulous group of people and our planner (Charlotte…: can’t recommend her enough to y’all!!! ). Charlotte seriously made my day and was such a a sweet soul to be around, I felt like I knew her forever as soon as I met her and we got to chatting. We were so pleased with our wedding at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. The venue staff were friendly, responded to emails and calls in a very timely manner, and kept communications concise and helpful leading up to the big day. For the Poconos area, we found Stroudsmoor to be very affordable for both the ceremony and reception. The food was fantastic - all of our guests raved about it! The servers were also excellent, very professional and attentive throughout the evening. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our special day. From the beautiful grounds to the delicious food to the wonderful staff, Stroudsmoor really helped make our wedding reception a huge success.

Event planning is not my forte in the best of times, but when you throw in the added inconvenience that my husband and I live in Europe — I knew it was going to take a miracle to pull off this wedding. Luckily, Willowdale and my amazing coordinator, Alli, were that miracle. Not only is Willowdale a stunning and completely unique venue 365 days of the year, it was a perfect match for our tricky theme: Great Gatsby (my husband’s theme) meets Dark Fairytale (my theme). What really took Willowdale to the next level in my book was their ability to take the stress out of wedding planning so you can actually enjoy this special time in your life. Special shoutout to my coordinator, Alli, who is like a wedding fairy godmother, Type A project manager, and supportive big sister all rolled into one. You name it, she did it: taking our jumble of decor and turning it into a fancy fairyland, helping me trim my boombas so they didn’t peak out of my neckline, wrangling family members, making sure my husband and I had enough to eat and drink, and packing up all our wedding desserts at the end of the night. Our guests can’t stop raving about our wedding and frankly, neither can we. Willowdale is the best in the biz, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

My wife and I were married at The Milestone Denton on August 31, 2024, and if our wedding had a catch phrase, it would have been this: "Don't worry, we have Melissa!" From the very first day, all of our concerns and worries were relieved by Melissa's expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail. Not one stone was left unturned, and even things that we hadn't thought to consider were covered by Melissa and her team. We could not have imagined having our most special day at any other venue - the Milestone is beautiful, secluded from the hustle of downtown Denton and 380, and we felt like royalty as the guests of honor on our wedding day. If you are looking for a venue that will really wow your guests, and staff that will keep you cool, calm, and collected on a high-pressure day, we HIGHLY recommend Melissa and The Milestone Denton!

All expectations were far exceeded for our wedding day at Deity! We wanted a chic New York aesthetic and the venue delivered on every level, literally. Each floor is unique, functional, in good condition, and has so much to offer for pictures. Deity includes almost everything you need for the entire experience and great 3rd party vendor connections for what remains. We did not need a wedding planner. Caio, Anastasia (our day of coordinator), and the rest of the amazing staff took the best care of us leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We were treated like royalty and really felt special. DJ and music kept the dance floor active the entire night. Finally, we had HIGH expectations for the food and cocktails after our tasting. And even these were exceeded. Everything was delicious and you can trust quality for each of your guests will be as good as your initial tasting experience. Chef James is one of a kind. We can’t rave about Deity enough.

Living in AZ a majority of wedding venues are desert landscaped, which is beautiful but not something I was looking for. I also noticed while looking at other venues the background of the ceremony had buildings or houses that were visible in the pictures, again, not something I was looking for. After months of searching I came across Venue at the Grove and absolutely fell in love just by looking at the pictures alone. I set up a tour and let me tell you pictures do not do that place justice. Seeing it in person during the day and at night with all the trees lit up is absolutely beautiful!! The venue is all inclusive which helped tremendously because during that year leading up to the wedding I can honestly stay I was stress free (minus the seating chart lol) Communicating with the staff was great and their timelines getting back to me about all my questions was always right away. Trinity was our coordinator for wedding day and she was truly an angel.

I could not recommend getting married at Chicago Winery enough. From the first meeting, it is clear that the staff understands how to facilitate a flawless ceremony and reception. We wanted a ceremony and a cocktail-style reception, and they were able to accommodate exactly what we were envisioning. They had food stations that were easy to serve, yet so delicious and hearty. They transitioned the layout of the rooms many times throughout the night - and even laid out our supplies to celebrate New Year’s! Chris and his team were always responsive and professional. Olio was the first (and only) wedding venue we toured. Immediately following our tour, my partner and I cancelled all tours/meetings with other venues - we knew that if we were going to have a wedding, it had to be at Olio. Sarah and the Olio team ALWAYS met us with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. All communications with Olio were authentic, seamless, and enjoyable. Since our family lives all over the country, Sarah and the team went out of their way to accommodate and ensure each of our family members could tour Olio when they were in town. Our wedding exceeded any and all expectations. It is impossible to articulate the beauty of this venue. All of our friends and family continue to rave about the space, story behind Olio, and the wonderful venue team. Olio is incredible without any decorations, but can be a blank canvas for people with big ideas. There is East End Peabody Veterans Memorial Park down the road that is perfect for photos, and a Granite Coast Brewing Company a few doors down for an afterparty. I also have to give huge thanks to Alicia, my bridal attendant on the wedding day. She was such an essential part of keeping me calm, organized, and able to fully enjoy the day. The space itself is breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The food was outstanding—so many of our guests made a point to tell us how much they loved it! The view is even better in person. Photos are gorgeous but really can't do justice to the beauty and peaceful vibe at the farm. The team was fantastic. They provided a large bridal suite and grooms suite for us to get ready in. They booked almost all of our vendors and had recommendations for anything not included (local cabins, hotels, transportation, pastors, etc) We didn't lift a finger to decorate anything. They completely took care of all our setup and it was exactly what we wanted and had selected with the wedding planner. The venue is accessible which was really important to us since we had guests in wheelchairs. We had to do a rain delay and the staff worked so hard wiping down pews for our guests and even provided clear umbrellas just in case. We had a positive experience with the vendors in the package and the venue staff. We would encourage anyone to book this venue. They will go above and beyond to take care of you and your guests.

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING The Boylston Rooms was for my wedding!!! If you are looking for the perfect New England wedding in an old industrial building then THIS is the place for you. The best part is it’s a dedicated wedding venue. It is their entire job to throw the best weddings ever. They have a room FULL of decorations to choose from. They provide tableware, different colored table cloths and napkins, faux greenery and candles, drapery, arbors, card boxes, picture frames, etc. There are dedicated bridal and grooms suites with a lock code to keep your items safe. Fun settings around the building for photo sessions. Two beautiful rooms for the ceremony and reception. A beautiful patio for cocktail hour as long as weather permits. A dedicated catering kitchen attached to the reception room who will cater to all dietary needs!! I have celiac disease and they provided an entire gluten free buffet for my guests and EVERYTHING was delicious. Not to mention the staff!! Erin and Myles are the BEST!!! Seriously love them so much and could not rave enough about how fabulous they are and made sure my husband and I had the best day ever. You will not be disappointed if you get married here!

My husband and I got married two weeks ago at The Sanctuary and had the best night! Our guests loved the many features of the venue (the pier, patio, tent, and indoor space), complimented the food and drinks, and we were all extremely impressed by the high quality service provided by the bartenders and waiters. Working with Amelia and Kat on the day was a pleasure and we couldn’t thank them enough for supporting us as we got set up that morning, and throughout the day. Our wedding day was the first time we interacted with either of them, and it was a pleasant surprise to have so much support on our side. Throughout the planning process we worked closely with Alfonso. Alfonso does a great job selling The Sanctuary and was available to answer our questions along the way. There were definitely some things we needed to dig into a bit more than we thought we’d have to - creating a detailed timeline for the day based a few examples provided, develop clearer floorplans of the venue for our vendors to ensure they understood the space, putting together a table map for our dinner setup, renting/purchasing the sound equipment needed for our ceremony on the pier, finding an alternative rehearsal space, and hiring a day of coordinator to support with decor, set-up, flow, and cleanup. Reading other reviews of the venue was super helpful to ensure we were asking the right questions and following up on pieces that seemed unclear. If you’re looking for an affordable (relative to the rest of NYC), dynamic, and interesting wedding venue, and you’re willing to put in the work or hire a wedding planner, this is definitely a great contender!

The Oviatt Penthouse is a ridiculously unique venue. The outdoor patios are amazing- perfect for the ceremony, dinner and dancing. We had a band and it was perfect. The views are insane. The bridal suite is the original owner's bedroom- all w/ original furniture. Gorgeous. The staff were AMAZING. Super cool, down to earth, normal people who are great at their jobs. We are so beyond happy we went with this venue.

From the moment we inquired about The Wheeler House, their communication was impeccable, seamless, and thoughtful. Our day-of coordinator, Laiken, walked us through every step of the process leading up to the wedding and executed our emerald green/gold, vintage vision beautifully. The venue itself was truly magical - with its romantic, rustic charm that set the perfect backdrop for our special day. The Wheeler House provided incredible value with an all-inclusive package including coordination, bridal/groom suites, bartenders, security, DJ, cake and catering (we have heard nothing but wonderful reviews about all of these vendors/staff) and we are so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day so special and memorable. I cannot say enough about TWH, their staff, and their amenities!

Donauschwaben's German-American Cultural Center was the perfect venue for our daughter & son-in-law’s wedding. The location to the airport, highway and hotel were ideal. Their property provided plenty of parking. The wedding was outside on a 92 day and was flawless. It was hot, but the trees were in the perfect position to shade the entire patio. The entire staff was amazing. The reception space was transformed into a beautiful space for our special celebration. Our family and friends shared with us how delicious the appetizers, meal and “aftertizers” of the homemade pretzels. Christine the Event Manager went above and beyond and made sure the day was special for everyone. She answered all of my questions, even up to the last minute. We were so impressed with how many times Christine checked in with us to make sure we were happy. We highly recommend Donauschwaben’s German-American Cultural Center.

Choosing the Red Barn for our wedding venue was the best decision we made!! The venue is absolutely gorgeous, the staff and on-site coordinators are absolutely incredible, and everything was so seamless from beginning to end, from the planning stages to the wedding day. Our venue coordinator Emily was a dream—she was so easy to work with and made the process a breeze: After we booked all our vendors ourselves and planned all our details, we met with Emily multiple times to talk about the day-of, and she was there on-site to make sure everything went smoothly (including setting up our decor, cuing the music and recessional/processional for our ceremony, keeping the timeline on track, and handling everything else that came up during the wedding day). Our day was absolutely perfect! She’s a superstar! For the venue itself, we can’t recommend it enough. The reception space is stunning, the foyer area for cocktail hour was perfect, and there’s a bridal suite for the bride/groom and bridal party. Staying at their sister property, the Stage House Inn gave us access to a shuttle service to and from the inn to the venue, which made the wedding day so easy (and the hotel is great!) We didn’t use the outdoor spaces as much because we got married in December, but we took some photos and the golf course and brick architecture were perfect backdrops. Overall, we really cannot recommend the Red Barn enough. From the absolutely amazing, friendly and welcoming staff (from the sales team to coordinators to catering and bar staff) to every single detail, we’re so happy with our wedding! If you’re considering booking the Red Barn, do it!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience at Flagstaff House for our wedding! From the moment we first reached out, the team was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like our special day was just as important to them as it was to us. I had a tall order - I began planning my wedding just 2 and a half months before I had set the date, which was also my birthday, and over a holiday weekend. Hosting a party of 45, we were amazed by the level of attention and detail the staff provided. They were not only helpful in the planning stages but also went above and beyond on the day itself. The atmosphere was beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We did the whole package for a daytime wedding, the ceremony and reception and lunch. I was so happy to be blessed with perfect weather as well as wild turkeys and hawks around the venue. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff’s professionalism and genuine care truly made our day unforgettable. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the stunning views and exquisite service. The food was impressive, and the cake was delicious (I hear - I didn't get a piece! Busy bride!) If you’re looking for a venue that combines elegance with a personal touch, Flagstaff House is the place! We are so grateful for their hard work in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. As a wedding photographer, The Barns is one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings at. The grounds are beautiful, and always make for print-worthy wedding photos. I always feel like I have plenty of options for backgrounds between the pond and weeping willow trees. And then the inside of the venue is just as picturesque. The contrast of the dark wood interior with the brightness of string lighting makes for dreamy reception photos, and works well with my bright and bold editing style.

We had our wedding on May 10th, 2025. It was the best day of our lives. From start to finish the CT Wedding Group helped us all along the way with our planning and dialing in all the last minute details. They’re very professional but also understand the stresses of planning a wedding. They were supportive of all of our ideas, even if it didn’t all play out. Our DOC Shannon was a pleasure to work with and our guests loved the extra care and attention that the staff provided on our wedding day. Food was absolutely great and probably the most important detail of our wedding. Everyone was raving about the food and the whole venue experience. They even gave us one of each meal at the end of the night so we had a chance to enjoy what all our guests were having, even though we were very full from all the food earlier. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding and reception. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a beautiful, rustic venue with professionals to help with wedding planning. This bride was happy and stress free!

Nazareth Hall is known throughout the region as a banquet and wedding facility, but it’s the rich history and lush setting that draws people here. Built in 1927 as an all-boy Catholic boarding school. It eventually evolved into a renowned military school for boys. Throughout its history the school stayed true to its Catholic roots and the nuns who served and taught here. Operating until 1982 the stories written within its walls are still told today. Re-emerging with a new mission and purpose in April of 1991, Nazareth Hall was reborn. It is in this picturesque place, reminiscent of castles of old, that brides come to be married and celebrate with family and friends in grand ballrooms. The classrooms and meeting spaces offer the perfect vintage background for business training sessions, and the manicured lawns have been host to numerous parties and festivities.

BOOK WITH NAZARETH HALL!! I can not say enough good things about this wedding venue. First of all it’s gorgeous!!! And they checked all of our boxes and more. We were looking for an all inclusive venue and that is just what they do. Venue, catering, alcohol and ceremony and reception all in one place! Their wedding coordinators make the wedding planning process so easy. They were available for any email or phone call any time. They provide you with a preferred vendor book which is amazing and helped us pick ALL of our vendors. The food and bar service were great and I got so many compliments from family and friends. Last but not least they provide you with a day of coordinator! She took all the stress away on the wedding day, communicated with the preacher, musicians, etc and made sure everyone was lined up correctly! As a bride I couldn’t appreciate this enough! She also brought my husband and I drinks all night so we could stay with family and friends and dance and didn’t have to worry about going down to the bar. Nazareth hall is amazing and I can’t say enough great things about them! If you are looking for a wedding venue look no further!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space.
