We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. We hope to come back for future events and are so happy to have gotten married at Spruce!

We’ve literally been getting married all year—starting with signing our marriage license on December 31st, exchanging private vows on top of a mountain in early September, and wrapping it all up with the most incredible celebration at Mountain View Ranch – Lakeview on October 11th. (No joke—countless guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended!) From start to finish, the Mountain View Ranch team was there for us—not just as planners, but as enthusiastic supporters who were genuinely thrilled to celebrate with us. Wedgewood Weddings has a seamless, well-organized process that helps keep you on track without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're someone who wants every detail handled or you like to DIY and bring in your own vendors, they give you the flexibility and support to make your vision come true. Our coordinator, Janell, is an absolute rockstar. We truly couldn’t have done this without her. Her attention to detail, warmth, and excitement made the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free. She felt as invested in our “Happily Ever After Party” as we were all year. The event staff on the big day went above and beyond. Becca kept everything flowing smoothly while remaining approachable and engaging. Mindy made us feel like we were hanging out with a new best friend—who also happened to be making us amazing drinks. And Christy, Evie, Marley, Nate, and Tyler didn’t miss a beat—ensuring guests were happy, well-fed, and everything stayed organized and spotless. If you’re looking for a stunning venue, a professional and caring team, and the kind of celebration your guests will be raving about long after, this is the place. This is SUCH a hidden gem of a venue! Having the full weekend to spend with our friends and family was such a gift and Idlewild was perfect for that. So many guests came from out of state and were super impressed with the whole area and the beauty of the venue in particular. They also loved that they could really see how "personalized to us" we got to make the wedding, thanks to the flexibility of Idlewild. One of our favorite parts was that we got to have the ceremony in a spot that they hadn't held one before, but were completely up for making it work. It was a clearing in the forest, nestled by trees and with the perfect afternoon light. The barn is beautiful, but we really wanted to have cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing all outside as well and they were happy to make that work too! That was really important to us and we were so glad to pull it off. This venue is great for a couple who is creative and wants to truly make it their own, OR for the minimalistic couple who wants to let their natural surroundings do most of the talking. Definitely go check it out and get in before it gets better well-known and books out several years in advance

Kodie is such a gem of a human being and I am so blessed that I got to work with her, she made my whole wedding experience and wedding day absolutely perfect!!! My (now) husband and I are from MN and we wanted to get married in CO and have a small wedding. At the beginning of my wedding planning I found Kodie when she had posted in groups about her mobile bar business K-Bar, in a CO wedding group on Facebook. I went to her website to check out the bars and such because they looked adorable. While I was looking around the website I found that they had recently began to offer micro weddings at their home/land near Guffey CO that couples can make their own day! So I sent a message and Kodie sent me more information and it was an immediate yes!! We booked and got everything going! Kodie responded to emails and texts in a timely manner and we spoke on the phone many times. She is so nice and took time to go over options, give recommendations, and walk me through everything. She coordinated and put everything together for us! We had a big beautiful white tent with sides that we could open or close (in case of weather) with cafe lights, portapotty, yard games, tables and chairs, beverages, and food!! We had a personal pizza party & a nonalcoholic beverage station! Everyone made their own pizza and Kodie cooked it in a wood fire grill! She had so many topping options for people and it was a HUGE hit!! We got to pick an alcoholic beverage package and what bar we wanted (we went with Johnnie Cash)! Chris was a fabulous bartender and he was so fun to chat with! Kodie had so many fun options, decor, and details!! We have nothing but good things to say about our day and there is not a single thing that we would have changed!! I kid you not, we received compliments from every guest and had multiple people tell us that it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to!! Everything was exactly what I had dreamed of and working with K-Bar was really what made it so great! Not to mention the gorgeous views and their donkeys! When we come back to CO for vacations in the future, I will for sure be reaching out to Kodie to meet up because her and Mitch feel like family now! XO-The Utsch’s!

My husband and I were looking for a spot to host our wedding reception. Sara at Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame was so professional and easy to work with. As we were planning our wedding during the Coronavirus, many plans had to get changed, but we were able to utilize the outdoor space and the big white tent. The outdoor space was beautiful, the garden was a fun space for guests to walk around, the lighting inside the tent was dreamy, and there was plenty of space to eat, toast, and dance. I highly recommend this space for any wedding.

It was really cool for the guests to stay in tents and wagons as well as the lodge. Planning with the staff was not as easy and organized as expected but overall, the event was a success. I would recommend using at least a "day of" wedding planner for this location to work with the staff. We were on our own and found it to be a little unorganized. Overall, it was great, and we would recommend this for your special day!

My husband and I had the absolute best day and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing! Everything was wonderful and Chris did a wonderful job bartending as well! We got so many compliments and positive comments about literally every part of the day (everyone LOVED Kodie, Mitch, and Chris)! We are so happy with everything! We came out from MN and Kodie was so easy to work with/correspond with in the months leading up to our big day! We had lots of options to really personalize our day to make it our own. Every guest I talked to was complimenting every part of the day and they all had nothing but positive things to say. We had many guests tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Thank you guys for everything you did for us and we will be forever grateful!

Their timing is also impeccable. From the ceremony start time to placing the very first dinner plate, the staff and coordinators are on it. I love getting to work here alongside their staff. THE GOOD STUFF The Grange fit our needs really well for a 50 person baby shower. With the setup we chose, the room felt full but not crowded and allowed for ample room for people to move around. The fireplace added a nice atmosphere without making the room hot. The bathrooms and space were clean when we arrived. The Grange offers several table options which made it super easy for us to setup a kids zone, silent trivia area, and guest tables. Given that tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, it is fairly priced. A FEW BUMMERS While we wanted to have the garage doors open for an open-air feeling, it seemed that even the smallest bit of wind would knock over all of our decorations. Because we couldn't have the garage doors open, we did confine everything to indoors which changed our plans a bit with outdoor yard games as it wasn't super intuitive to go outside to the covered patio. We also would have liked to have been asked about the signage The Grange put outside. We had a co-ed baby shower but when we pulled up, the sign only listed the mother-to-be's name. Not a huge deal, but definitely could have been avoided. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS A few things to note that may be important to you: 1. All setup, teardown, and cleaning is YOUR responsibility. So, if you don't want to haul tables and chairs, take out the trash, and mop the floor, this venue is not for you. (Note: We were made well aware of this prior to booking so it isn't a surprise but definitely a big consideration as it cuts into your rental time.) 2. The microphone works well for the main room but is very difficult to hear in the "back area" where the restrooms and food counters are. 3. When working on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of getting event insurance as this is required and is an additional cost. (Again, we were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a surprise.) 4. No table coverings/linens/tablecloths are provided so be sure you factor this into planning and your budget.

Arrowhead is absolutely stunning — we knew it was the perfect venue after our tour, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. The food exceeded our tasting, the service and presentation were top-notch, and we loved that every guest got two entrees. Communication was a bit slow leading up to the wedding, but everything was handled beautifully on the day. The only thing we were a bit disappointed about was that we weren’t able to golf around our wedding date. With so many family and friends traveling from out of town, we had hoped to enjoy some time on the course together as part of the celebration, but the timing just didn’t work out with all of Arrowhead’s events. Even so, Arrowhead provided the most magical backdrop and an unforgettable experience—we would highly recommend it to any couple considering this venue.

The interior is layered with history, rich mahogany, intricate details, and rooms that feel dramatic in the best way. Every corner photographs beautifully. The staff was incredibly accommodating and professional throughout the day. Organized, attentive, and kind, which matters more than people realize when timelines are tight and emotions are high. There are endless photo opportunities here. The interior gives you moody, romantic, old world vibes. The grounds open up to sweeping Colorado views. And the rooftop view is an absolute must. The scenery from up there is unreal and gives couples something that feels cinematic and timeless. If you want grandeur, history, and something that genuinely feels different from the typical ballroom venue, this is it. From a photographer’s perspective, it is a dream location.
