To say our wedding was perfect is an understatement! Our wedding was a BLAST! We had the most incredible experience and I can't thank the Deity team enough for their hard work in executing this day. The whole experience from beginning to end was flawless. We got married 3 weeks ago and our friends are still talking about that night! We had 65 people and it was a perfect venue for our intimate wedding. The food was incredible -the chef even made an appearance at dinner to check on us, we love you Chef! DJ John Divine was a star - he captured the vibe perfectly and read the room all night long. Caio, Matthew, Janelle, thank you ALL for making our day perfect from start to finish. My wife and I could not express enough how great our entire wedding experience was with Venue at the Grove. Here are a few down to earth notes to take away. The planning process was incredibly simple. With all the moving parts weddings encompass, the staff were very flexible and accommodating to what we wanted to make our day as special as it was. The setting for the ceremony and reception felt like we were in another world. Again, the planning for how we wanted our items set up were seamless with the staff's help. They made sure all the details we wanted were accommodated for. Lastly, but certainly very important and helpful was the cleanup for the end of the night. Staff were on point with making sure we had all our belongings and items needed prior to departing the venue. We had no worries with making sure everything was cleaned up and accounted for. Overall, our day was perfect and so happy we chose Venue at the Grove. Between the early consultations for planning, the beautiful setting, and logistics at the end of the night, I would recommend this venue to anyone searching for a location for their special day.

Sarah and her team are wonderful! My wife and I had our elopement ceremony here as they were offering free services to LGBTQ couples. It was so heartwarming knowing that the Olio team was able to provide these opportunities to us and so many couples at this time. Becca was onsite the day of our ceremony and was so kind and helpful. Her calm demeanor and joyful energy didn’t go unnoticed to us! The physical space of Olio speaks for itself- elegant, stunning and unique! We got married at Walden in December and it was the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding. Walden ensured that we were taken care of every step of the way. Walden has it all: amazing food and drinks, full service planning, and great relationships with some of the best vendors in Chicago. Maria was so wonderful to work with in the beginning stages to book our wedding with Walden. She answered our many questions and scheduled multiple calls with us to ensure we were comfortable with the contract we were signing and was so accommodating! Krystle and Alyssa, our amazing planners, could not have been better!! They were there every step of the way whether it was to offer suggestions on vendors, reach out to vendors for us to get pricing/details, and to keep us on track with planning every detail. As an indecisive bride who really had no vision going into wedding planning I could not be more grateful to Alyssa and Krystle for making the planning process as easy as possible! From the moment I arrived the morning of my wedding we were taken care of by the amazing staff at Walden. Helen greeted us with breakfast set up, took our dresses to steam them, made sure my veil and all accessories were ready for detail shots, and checked in on us to help with anything we needed. Krystle helped ensure that the day went according to plan and made every dream of ours come true. She brought our vision to life and we could not be more thankful for her. Jenny was our closing planner the day of the wedding and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. She helped coordinate the set up of the desserts and late night snacks and helped secure all of our belongings at the end of the night. The planning team is a dream and allowed me to not have to worry about a single detail the day of my wedding. They gave me the ability to be fully present with family and friends for every moment of the day. The food and drinks were hands down the best we have ever had! Our family and friends could not agree more, we continuously receive compliments on the appetizers, entrees, and drinks at our wedding. We can’t thank the kitchen and bar staff enough! Our wedding was a dream and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. I would highly recommend getting married at Walden and I hope that I get to attend a wedding there again to experience it all over!

The Villa is the first venue that my now-husband and I visited when we were looking for a place to host our wedding. From the very beginning, the Saphire Event Group staff at The Villa were unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful, answering all of our questions even before we picked them as our venue. Once we picked the date and the wedding got closer, we were paired with our event producer, Daniella Cimino. Daniella was nothing short of exceptional throughout our whole planning process. She made sure that all of our questions were answered, that we felt confident in the timeline of our day, and made sure to go over even the smallest of details to make sure that nothing was missed. We truly cannot thank Daniella and the event staff at The Villa enough for their professionalism, attention to detail, and hard work to ensure our day was picture-perfect. The food was incredible, our guests are still raving about all of the unique options and how great their entrees were. Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. We had the most beautiful wedding at The Boylston Rooms. From the moment we first spoke with Erin and Myles we know this would be the venue we would choose. They saw our vision and really went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. We were thrilled to be able to utilize their massive library of decorations and supplies to avoid having to purchase a ton of decorative elements and we donated the things we did end up purchasing so that they didnt end up sitting in our house (or worse, a landfill!) Myles and Erin both made absolutely certain that we got to enjoy every moment, including our food, and that we got to spend a moment alone together right after the ceremony to celebrate. Alyssa was by my side all day as my biggest cheerleader. I'm an emotional person who doesn't love being the center of attention. She had the most reassuring presence and all kinds of tricks up her sleeve. I will never forget her helping me take deep breaths, holding a cold can of Diet Coke on my chest to help calm me down. The Boylston Rooms made our wedding day so special, and we can't recommend them highly enough. We probably could've had a beautiful wedding anywhere if we had been willing to dedicate our entire lives to it for the year prior or shell out thousands of dollars for a planner and coordinator. But at The Boylston Rooms we didnt have to do either. We had a gorgeous wedding and it was affordable but above all it was effortless. With their help? We would do it again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I got married two weeks ago at The Sanctuary and had the best night! Our guests loved the many features of the venue (the pier, patio, tent, and indoor space), complimented the food and drinks, and we were all extremely impressed by the high quality service provided by the bartenders and waiters. Working with Amelia and Kat on the day was a pleasure and we couldn’t thank them enough for supporting us as we got set up that morning, and throughout the day. Our wedding day was the first time we interacted with either of them, and it was a pleasant surprise to have so much support on our side. Throughout the planning process we worked closely with Alfonso. Alfonso does a great job selling The Sanctuary and was available to answer our questions along the way. There were definitely some things we needed to dig into a bit more than we thought we’d have to - creating a detailed timeline for the day based a few examples provided, develop clearer floorplans of the venue for our vendors to ensure they understood the space, putting together a table map for our dinner setup, renting/purchasing the sound equipment needed for our ceremony on the pier, finding an alternative rehearsal space, and hiring a day of coordinator to support with decor, set-up, flow, and cleanup. Reading other reviews of the venue was super helpful to ensure we were asking the right questions and following up on pieces that seemed unclear. If you’re looking for an affordable (relative to the rest of NYC), dynamic, and interesting wedding venue, and you’re willing to put in the work or hire a wedding planner, this is definitely a great contender!

The Oviatt staff was fantastic and made our happily ever after event such a special moment for us. They worked with us on our bar menu and gave us a lot of freedom with making the space very intimate and personal. Being under the city lights of Los Angeles made this venue such a romantic tribute to the city that me and my wife fell in love in and grew up in. Wedding venue shopping is a lot on a couple. It takes time and energy and can be very stressful. However, when we say we found the perfect place we mean it. Donauschwaben’s was one of our venue choices coming highly recommended by our friends and family already. We reached out through their website and within no time we got an immediate response from the Christine, Event/ Wedding planner to set up a meeting together. She is not only extremely kind, but had everything organized so beautifully to choose from it was a no-brainer to choose this venue. She even recommended our DJ who had played a previous wedding there who was incredible. All communication leading up to our big day was efficient and layed out easily for us to understand. Our checks were deposited in a timely manner by the venue, our tasting was so nice and so delicious. The no pressure wedding planning was worth every penny spent. Our wedding day was so special and so beautiful from start to finish from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to our lovely reception to follow. Not only was Christine present the day of, but the staff was also on their A game all night long. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and kind, we felt like royalty. We both highly recommend this venue and if you do, definitely get the Schnitzel, Prost! The only recommendation to the venue would be to update their beverage packages to include seltzers such as High noons or White claws. Great place, great venue, great staff and great time!!! What more could someone ask for on their wedding day? Absolutely nothing…I would tell everyone to have their special events here. Each staff member I spoke to or worked with were very friendly and accommodating from day 1. There is no hidden fees for anything! This is what I was afraid of but, this venue is awesome! They are upfront about every detail and priced very well. I felt I got what I paid for with no regrets! They have excellent customer service and very understanding to any issue/situation I had. They were there when I had (what I felt) a dumb question and always reassured me. They all made me feel welcomed and made me feel so comfortable even though I was overwhelmed with nervousness, I felt their support when I needed them. I would strongly recommend this place everyone! My words can’t express how happy I was on my wedding day with how everything turned out.

The Wheeler House was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue. I wanted to have as little stress as possible during wedding planning and on the day of the wedding, and they delivered. Ashley was the coordinator and helped answer every question we had very quickly. She also helped everything so smoothly on the day of. She even had appetizers and drinks ready for us as soon as we were done with the ceremony. Their wedding package included a lot of the big things (catering, DJ, cake, etc..) and they had great recommendations for other vendors. We had a large bridal party and there was plenty of room for us to get ready. I’m not exaggerating when I say we’ve had almost half of our guests tell us it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to. Everyone was raving about the food and how beautiful everything was. I’m lucky to have had my wedding here and will always recommend them!

Built in 1927 as an all-boy Catholic boarding school. It eventually evolved into a renowned military school for boys. HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! Everything is in house- catering, bar, table set up, etc. and it is so helpful to not have to worry about those things. They also let you bring in your own decorations or use the ones they have available. The staff is so amazing! Maddison was my venue coordinator who answered all of my questions and was excellent with assisting with the planning and making sure everything was set for our wedding day! I also had an event coordinator who spent the day with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. They did have two weddings that day so having an event coordinator who could speak with the other coordinator was a huge bonus. Also the food- to die for! It was soooo good and was definitely a favorite for my guests. Not to mention the views! Nazareth has so many spots inside and outside that make the most beautiful wedding photos! Overall, my wedding went off without a hitch and I am so glad that I had my wedding at Nazareth Hall!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
